It is the metal on metal of the leaves without pads . Drove me crazy on my 18 with the Icons. I am wanting to go back with the Icons on my 20, I may try to add friction pads on the leaves without them.
Wow that is sharp, you nailed it .
I had the same fate with my 18, got out of it and into a Ram 2500. Since I don’t tow much , I kept it for a year and back into a Raptor . Could not get used to the lazy steering and ride of the Ram again.
I have really been wanting to drive that set up with...
Can someone expand on how the trans tuning is changed ? I may be one of the few but the stock programming is fine with me . If I want it to be aggressive , I just put it in sport .
If I am just driving around in the city , I am not looking for it to hold gears in normal mode .
Thanks
I had to have my right rear shock replaced at 300 miles on my 2020. It was some sort of electrical fault. It caused a drive mode fault and all shocks went to full stiff.
Don’t be surprised if the same happens to you . Truck drove like a empty 3/4 ton.
It also took over 2 weeks to get the...
I did have about 300 lbs. I noticed when I went to option 1 , they still had more capacity than the stock leafs . I was very happy except for the noise .
This thread has really grown . I posted back on page 6 about going from option 2 on my 2018 back to option 1. Was very happy with the option 1.
Here is what I did not like :
Not all leafs have the friction pads . I believe the bottom 3 are missing the pads . Once if took them Offroad and...
Mine turned out to be a bad shock on my 2020. Shock is on national back order . Likely the first of the year .
My truck has now been at the dealer longer than it has been in my garage .
My dealer has reached out to Ford. No news yet . The other new 2020’s on the lot make the same noise.
May truck has been in the shop 9 days now for a drive mode control fault . Shocks went to full stiff . I am loosing patience quickly with this 2020. This is my 3rd Raptor . All others were...
It sure if anyone has taken theirs in for the driveline whine. Going to get mine in tomorrow. Also, just had a drive mode failure today . Shock are full stiff .
Brand new 2020 truck .
Unfortunately, I do not have any experience with the two covers listed above . I like the look of the Gator, I think I will give it a shot .
May last 2 covers were BAK. Had the hard flip , did not lime the way it rested on the cab when needed to be up. I also had the BAK revolver x2. I...
Your description above is exact to mine .
It certainly could be rear axle, but I am leaning to transfer case or tail shaft side of the transmission. It will likely be a couple of weeks before mine makes it to the dealer .
Well mine has it. 1 day old 2020, picked it up with 7 miles on it .
It is driveline, pitch changes with speed. Does not matter the engine rpm, transmission gear, 2wd or 4wd. It gets louder the more you accelerate , you can change the tone with throttle.
My previous 2 Raptors were silent.
I...
Icon says they are 20% stiffer in setting 2. This is correct. Unloaded you will feel the expansion joints and potholes more. The big dips and bumps feel soft and more controlled.
I am going to try them at the as shipped height. They lifted my truck much more as I feel my factory springs...
I recommend your try the Icons as shipped first . I have mine on setting 2 and will be going back to as shipped setting.
Rear is sitting at 43.5 unloaded and is stiffer than I want. I do carry some weight but have been unloaded the last few weeks. I miss the soft ride.
