All, I have a stock 19 screw and have a 2900lbs open equipment trailer that I need to tow a compact tractor, John Deere 3038 (approx. 2800lbs). I’ve been reading like crazy on towing and I think I’m over thinking all this. I’m not interested in upgrading the Raptor suspension to tow more than...
just had my recall work done today, 19 with 28k. Shifted odd for the first couple miles, after that seemed fine. They didn’t have to do the second recall for engine shudder, mine seemed fine.
I’m still waiting for mine as well. I actually called Baja Designs today but nobody answered, left a message. I should have read the forum first, sent mine after Black Friday so I guess I’ll just keep waiting.
Well I just ordered a $h!tload of Amsoil XL boosted for my 2019 Raptor and my wife’s 2018 Expedition. That is what they are going to run and I’ll bet they will both be better off in the long run. I bought these vehicles so they will be long haul...
oh and...thanks to all you Raptor owners for...
Alright, I’m signing up now. I think I will run the boosted since it is good to 12k miles and I’ll be changing before that. Wix filters have always served me well too.
Thinking about switching over to Amsoil. I have run this in most all my previous vehicles but have seen a bunch of back and forth about semi synthetic vs synthetic in these trucks. Anyone running Amsoil without issue?
I had no idea about this. Thank you! I have calculated mine by hand using an app since I bought it. I average about 16.5mpg with 93 octane mixed driving conditions about 500 miles a week. The gauge in the truck was always off by about 1mpg, drove me crazy.
So I got everything installed and my truck will on turn the S2’s on when I flip the aux switch. I’m using the 4x4truckleds harness. I unhooked the vampire clip and tried again, no dice. Think I got a bad harness from Baja? It must be the small vampire harness because the lights work when I flip...
My goodness this was easy. I installed the fog light kit upfront. It took me longer to mount the lights on the bracket (changing bezel orientation) than it took to wire everything up. Custom wiring harness was great. I’ll tackle the reverse light kit tomorrow or Sunday. It’s easy, definitely...
I bought fog light kit and reverse kit from Adam at 4x4truckleds.com as well. I have never hooked up automotive wiring before but this seems so damn easy with the harnesses. I even sprung for a heat gun to wrap the butt connectors when I get finished. Starting this project in the morning...I’ll...
