That's a pretty good gap. Me, I would heat it with a torch and try to "tap" it back into shape. No idea if that part is heat treated though, so may want to check on that. Or get everything as clean as an operating room and try some quality RTV and let it set up before putting in oil.

My experience is that the Gen 3 moon roof does not stick at all like the Gen 2. The Gen 2 popped like you're opening a jar of pickles most of the time. I haven't noticed that once in almost 2 years in the Gen 3. I also replaced the tracks on our Gen 1, took 3'ish hours if I recall correctly, so...

Bailing wire and pliers fixed it on my Gen 2. I can't remember if it was a broken weld, but the seat was moving up and down at the round bar that goes right to left under the seat. I think I posted up photos in another thread, years ago.
