Cam phasers part #/ and can I postpone it.

For a Gen 2 Raptor: Make sure you get the latest revision of the cam phasers, they have the "CD" marking at the end of the part number. "A" is the faulty one. HL3Z-6256-CD Sprocket - CAM HL3Z-6C525-CD - CAM

Gen 2 OEM Skid Plate Hardware

Anyone have the OEM part numbers for the 4 skid plate bolts and clip nuts towards the front of the skid plate? These are the ones that you need a 13mm socket to remove. Not to be confused with the two bolts/nuts towards the rear of the skid plate that need a 15mm socket to remove. HB4 and...

    Pro Eagle Bed Mounting

This is how much I’d rather not drill into the bed or buy a whole bed rack system. @JDS….make these spacer blocks look pretty to improve your plate design. 3D print them to fit nicely with the grooves of the bed floor. Good ol’ blocks of 2x4 for now.

    Pro Eagle Bed Mounting

Can anyone post pics of how they secure a Pro Eagle 2-ton Beast Jack in the the bed of their truck? I have this JDS mount but not a big fan of it since it's only mounted in 2 points and it rattles really badly while off-roading. I know JDS has a new design that mounts it in the bed towards the...

    Charging System Service Now

Update #3: So after replacing the alternator and the battery, these symptoms and Diagnostic Troubleshooting Code (DTCs) returned... Auto Start/Stop wouldn't work and dash in the Trip/Fuel menu would just say "Engine On due to Vehicle Charging" even though the battery should have been fully...

    Charging System Service Now

Engine off: Battery read 12.7V Engine On (auxiliaries and accessories off):13.2V Both taken at the battery terminals. Idle voltage too low? I would have thought 14.2V would be the minimum for a good alternator.

    Charging System Service Now

Haven't removed the skid plate to check the alternator connections. Do you know if that can be done from above? If the alternator checks out clean then i fear it could be a harness/wire issue between the alternator, battery, battery monitoring sensor, Body Control Module (BCM), or Powertrain...

    Charging System Service Now

Thanks for response. When the auto start/stop and infotainment symptoms began i thought the same thing, so i replaced the 3 year old battery (now regretting that) . Those symptoms remained and the other two symptoms began. So i have a new battery with voltage between 14-16 V while driving. I...

Rear Wheel Well Rubbing With Stock 35s

You’re right they’re not on Method’s website. I found the 25mm option on Discount Tire Co.‘s website. They’re not stocked and are telling me a 45 day lead time. I’ll keep you posted to see if Method backs out of the order. Unfortunately I don’t see Discount Tire Co. list the 704s. I’d give...

    0 offset wheels/rims

I have stock beadlock capable forged rims and stock tires. There’s evidence of rubbing in the rear, and less severe scrapes on the front. I ordered some Method 703s with a +25mm offset. It’s really hard to find aftermarket wheels that have the stock fit (17”x8.5”; 34mm offset). 25mm is the...

Rear Wheel Well Rubbing With Stock 35s

Ordered some Method 703s with a +25mm offset. It’s really hard to find aftermarket wheels that have the stock fit (17”x8.5”; 34mm offset). 25mm is the closest I found. Therefore it’s a 9mm outboard shift. I don’t understand why aftermarket wheel mfrs don’t start with factory sizes. Reducing...

    Any Help with these codes

Cycling VCT IAW SSM didn’t work, Dealer replaced Left Hand Intake camshaft solenoid (Bank 2 Sensor A). We’ll see if it’s the true fix. LH valve cover had to be removed, otherwise not sure how you’d access the solenoid screws. I’ll report back after a few thousand miles.

    Cam Phaser Fix

You’re right. I don’t work in the automotive industry. Most people don’t and have to rely on the shared sources such as this. No need to be condescending to concerned and frustrated Ford customers. Since you work in the auto industry and have credentials in the field, what’s the internal...

    Cam Phaser Fix

There are plenty of YouTube videos describing very similar cam phaser symptoms occurring on the Triton engines. There are also videos of non-Raptor 3.5L EcoBoost engines exhibiting the same cold start rattle. That history suggests some something systemic, as these are not issues observed in...
