I’m a little confused. What do you mean “treat customers like that”? So far, it seems like your gripe is on price. You’re not unique. Everyone wants to get the best deal. A dealer who sells your dream truck at the lowest possible price treats you good whereas one who sells you one for the...
Everyone is talking about him “getting 20k”. What about the $47k (plus tax) that he’s losing? Honestly, I love the Gen 2. It can tow my boat with 4 adults with ease (stock). And on some days, it can run around in the dirt. Nothing wrong with a Gen 1, but you’re basically paying $47k for it plus...
Must have sat on the lot long because it sounds like your battery is degraded. If that happens auto start-stop won’t function. Should be a warranty issue.

If your battery is worn down, it will also deactivate ASS.
The Battery Management System is supposed to monitor the battery state and regulate the charging to maximize its life. BMS can get deactivated via Forscan to disable ASS. But BMS will also deactivate ASS if it detects the battery’s...
Did you de-activate auto start stop via Forscan? It deactivated the active battery management, which uses the sensor attached to the battery. This is why it is recommended that you attach accessories to the battery after the sensor (so it doesn’t mess up readings).
Just a guess though.
Sometimes the dealer has the car you want and the price is right. Everything else being “standard” is wishful thinking.
An implied warranty that the car runs safely is probably all you’re going to get from the dealer and that’s only because it’s the law in most states.
Well I was under the impression that it always comes with a tank. But these things needed to be negotiated for. What if after you sign off on the deal and financing, they hand you just one key. Nothing you can do at that point on a used car.
I’ve known of people who buy $40k used cars with gas on E. You can call it standards, but you’re not outsmarting anyone. The dealer will give you a 2nd key if there’s enough room in the profit. m
That’s not what I said at all. As-is just means there’s no entitlement to all the extras that come with a new car. Dealers only wash and clean cars because it makes them more money on the vehicle. The expense pays for itself. If it made no difference, most dealers would just leave it dirty.
I’m...
You’re not missing out much. Dinner was good catered food, buffet style, but it wasn’t anything spectacular. Most people just ate dinner and left. Check out the gift shop for Raptor merch!
lol The old steering wheel was always pretty dry, and I clean it regularly. But it basically got polished with use. The new steering wheel makes me feel like I’m driving a new truck again.
Dealer didn’t seem to hesitate when I complained. They just had to get approval from Ford, which took less...
I did a 3.2 to 3.4 without firmware update back in December 2019, and I haven’t had any issue. Been thinking about doing firmware since the paid Forscan version now supports it, but I don’t want to rock the boat.
Been reading about the Sync 3.4 platform for a while and it appears the same Sync 3 module is installed across Ford models running Sync 3. If it’s a common failure point, it can’t be just on the F-150.
I think what the dealer meant was “ah camera stuck on. Common culprit is the Sync module.”...
Have you tried a hard reboot? Hold power button and skip forward buttons down together for a few seconds until it reboots...
** Edit ** Sorry I somehow glossed over that part of your post.
Seems like Ford can’t make its mind and keep changing the manual. There’s a whole thread about it here:
