i had my local lumbar yard cut me a bunch of 6x6x10” blocks for like 30 bucks. the blocks are perfect for raising the truck (35’s, level). also they are nice so that jackstands don’t need to be fully raised, meaning you can set a fully retracted jackstand on top of two blocks versus having the...
actually never installed it. the CEL never came back on and that was like 4k miles ago
there are instructions online. it goes in the one rubber/plastic line coming off the intake. just not sure which one. i’ll check around and post them here if i can find the instructions
honestly, i’d say it is increased noise from the intake. how does the truck run? any stumbling or anything like that?
i’m not convinced that it is in fact a boost leak
not exactly the same conditions, but my 17 will sometimes backfire at slow rpm downshifts around 10-15mpg AFTER the fuel tank is filled up. again i’m sure this is totally different, but just wanted to mention
not really sure what you mean by fittings? are you talking about the hot and cold side connections? if so these connections are of course the same with any stock intercooler location replacement. just meant that anything “coming loose” wouldn't be a CVF specific issue if that makes sense
Hi,
I’d like a set of Gen 2 (17-18) rear shocks, relatively low mileage if possible.
If you have a set that is not in use, and would prefer the extra cash instead, please let me know!
Located in Eastern, Pa. Thanks!
i’ve had nothing but great customer support from builtright! i ordered the bedside racks and dash mount. a few weeks later i ordered the builtright keychain for my key fob...the packing slip had a hand written note from matt saying thanks and he crossed out my order of “1” wrote “2” and sent me...
no, in my opinion you are absolutely fine... simply parked at idle you are off boost and have no needed for the charge air to be cooled for all intents and purposes
hi,
KHC in new jersey seems to be pretty well known on this forum. of course i’m sure other shops can handle it but if you’re looking for a shop already vetted maybe call KHC. not sure how far they would be for you.
maybe some local guys on facebook could help recommend a shop?
i’ll always park at the top if the garage whenever possible, some of those garages are that tight it’s hard to maneuver a full size truck plus people door dinging and crashing into you. the truck cleared the entrance bar and cleared all beams by about 1” on the ride to the top, but somewhere...
did a vinyl roof wrap on mine and was parking downtown earlier in the week. truck cleared the entrance beam of course but somewhere on the trip to the top of the garage the rear roof scraped by the 3rd brake light
have line-x myself and am happy, but it’s crazy you need to pay an extra 100 (line-x premium) to prevent fading and chalking. of course that’s the option i choose, but i don’t feel when purchasing what is claimed to be a superior product, you should have to pay extra just to prevent UV damage
in my opinion there is a reason nobody else is selling cores’s that thick. in a little bit of research it appeared that frontal surface area is more important that core thickness, that a core thickness too large and maybe not ideally suited for the motor/turbocharges per say can cause boost...
videos online showing those shutters in action from a go-pro camera or whatever left me feeling that they are hindering performance, in some instances almost half the frontal area or more of the intercooler was blocked. maybe not a noticeable amount and how this translates to the real world, idk...
