GEN 2 My only complaint after 1000 miles - Mushy brakes on new 2019 Raptor

Then yes you can change your brakes and lines, there are aftermarket options available.

GEN 2 My only complaint after 1000 miles - Mushy brakes on new 2019 Raptor

Raptor is not a sports car. Brakes that feel crisp and firm on the pavement just lock up constantly off road and just ride ABS. I bet you wish it had less suspension travel also.

    93-octane necessary?

I think he is playing with semantics, there is no such thing as premature detonation because that is technically preignition. preignition is when the mixture lights before the spark plug fires. detonation is knock, which is caused by the spark plug firing too early so technically it's not...

    93-octane necessary?

this is incorrect. the modern ford ecm will also reduce boost levels according to knock amounts. the ecm develops a "learned octane" value based on how much spark lead it can add or has to remove and uses that value to limit boost. this is not your grandpa's ford anymore. they are way more...

    GEN 2 Anyone do e85?

Yes, you need to populate a few tables but it's not "developed logic," flex fuel is available in many ford applications, including F150's. I will say that it is nice that you guys have aftermarket hardware (HPFP, etc) and sell programming to properly control that.

    GEN 2 Anyone do e85?

The flex logic you developed? It's in the factory calibration, disabled.....you just enable it, lol.

    Leadfoot with Bronze

yeah the "differentness" wore off so I went back to old reliable. I posted some pics of the bronze wheels in some other thread around here. Need to get some of the black, truck looks better now IMO.

    Leadfoot with Bronze

I was running bronze methods on my leadfoot for several months but it got old fast, powdercoated them black.

    GEN 2 Kooks Mid Pipe

I have Kooks catted dp's and spd turbo adapters, I later added a large 3" magnaflow dual in/out muffler in place of the stock muffler and now it is deeper, no rasp, and actually a little quieter at WOT.

    Underbody Surface Rust

looks like normal cosmetic oxidation to iron parts like front halfshafts and ujoints. I don't see any pics of rusted, flaking frames. my raptor has looked the same as some of those pics since day 1, I noticed it looks just like my denalis and wranglers did as well.....not concerned about it...

GEN 2 COBB Accessport - Tuned by GooseTuned

On 91 that's what I would expect. Don't have 91 here. also you should really watch your IAT's over 20psi, especially 22. you might find find you don't make the power you think you do past a couple dyno pulls, like if you were using the truck as intended. I am running a flex fuel tune as...

GEN 2 COBB Accessport - Tuned by GooseTuned

In the 9s maybe with cat over temp protection but not with it disabled. You can't properly tune an airflow model with cat over temp turned on anyways. with my downpipes I don't run it. stock lambda commands .82 and that's what I get.....that's more like low 12s, definitely not 9. I mean if...

GEN 2 COBB Accessport - Tuned by GooseTuned

on a stock or a bolt on ecoboost there really isn't much to do with fuel mixture or even spark lead. the current ford ecm is powerful and ford's logic is very good. widebands, closed loop fueling at WOT, automatically adding or removing spark as needed, etc all just part of the stock logic...

    GEN 2 Kooks Mid Pipe

got it. i just replaced my muffler with a big magnaflow. with the downpipes it sounds awesome. actually is quieter at wot but deeper at part throttle.

    GEN 2 Kooks Mid Pipe

I don't see midpipes on the Kooks website. https://www.kooksheaders.com/amfinder/?find=2018-ford-raptor-supercrew-eco-boost-v6-3-5-454865

Geisers, Deaver +3s, RPG Bumps and 37s (Pics)

There are some pics here, I had bronze methods but I now powdercoated them black so new pics are in order.....having some rain here so I have to wait a few days.

    GEN 2 Kooks Mid Pipe

I think the downpipes must come with the midpipe? whatever was in the box went from the turbos to just behind the transmission crossmember. one of the pipes through the crossmember was short and didnt reach the resonator pipe without the long clamp/adapter.

Geisers, Deaver +3s, RPG Bumps and 37s (Pics)

I have Geiser and Deaver +3 with 37s and had to add Icon UCA and lower caster plates but my alignment/suspension is absolutely perfect, plus I added a lot of caster with it so I can get to the mall with a much straighter steering wheel. It's a little bouncy with 30-35 psi but rides pretty close...

    GEN 2 Kooks Mid Pipe

I have the Kooks downpipes, the link pipe for that short pipe to the catback is long and covers the distance. It works but I also didn't like that setup. After having it for a while though there are no leaks or other abnormalities, everything is fine.

    Exhaust Pops and Crackles

The pop on decel is due to retarded exhaust cam timing and retarded spark lead that allows combustion to be heard through the exhaust. Easy to tune in, but it doesn't sound as awesome as it does on some of the european cars, just a different exhaust system at the end of the day. I have...

    GEN 2 Anyone do e85?

You might want to reread the posts. Don’t make assumptions. You want to assume something about someone or someone’s post then be prepared for the response. That’s pure immaturity on your part. Just because your feelings got hurt doesn’t mean I’m a ****. Maybe it just means you’re a *****...

    GEN 2 Anyone do e85?

gosh, thanks for the advice. considering I have tuned 16 Gen2 Raptors, I don't know how many Gen1's, 25 Mustangs give or take, about 80 Corvettes, 20 Camaros, and over 100 GM trucks, have run a Super Stock NHRA/IHRA car for 23 years and had a career in the auto industry for the last...
