makes sense thanks for all the detailed explanations. I was looking at the RPG bolt kit as we speak and was crunching the numbers thinking I could maybe build this setup a little more cost effective...
- does anybody have this setup? (RPG Bolt Kit) $5900
-In theory the front would be done...
-would it be worth it to add a secondary bypass front shocks to the stock LCA's (keeping the same track width) with updated 1.5" UCA's or would you say kind of overkill?
-if so Who makes the secondary bypass towers? I would be buying those at the same time instead of later on, if I were to go...
Just wanted to thank everyone for the knowledge. So far i'm considering the svc mid travel setup the most. I do Run 37's and heard the svc kits run 2" wider up front. Are Extended Fenders going to be a necessity? Ive read many threads on how to cut/ pinch the welds in the fenderwells. which...
Do you know any UCA's that come with the bushed style, or just an upgrade after purchase? if so lets see an example that fits?
-I don't want to make all these modifications and just wish I had a LT suspension setup any LT kits out there as well? saw svc had one but is not on the website...
OK FRF Family I'm trying to figure out the best route for some suspension upgrades. I've done "some" research and have a pretty good idea what I am thinking of upgrading. Kinda new with prerunner suspension setups so any advice / feedback would be killer.
Ok lets start with a numbered list so...
dude! thank you this is what i'm talking about! I was thinking maybe going the "svc abs" route but now looking at that "rst16" its got me thinking... is it capable of longer travel shocks with the mounts relocated higher?
i'm going to start a different post on my dream build and everyone can...
thanks for the info, considering this think I may just stick with the 3.0's. Still not sure if I want to make the commitment of cutting the bed and loosing cargo area for my bikes
With Top Perch and 37's and higher miles i'm starting to hear some slight clicking, thinking it might be time to replace the IWE system since this is a wear and tear part...
the question is replace the 1: 4wd actuator solenoid 2: Control valve 3: Both the Actuator Assemblies.
Or
I could also go...
Anyways, semi corroded, never serviced, pristine, 120k fox shox what we thinking here boys... obv they can be rebuilt for a new owner.
homie is asking $600 and they still need to be serviced...
im not asking that and they still need to be serviced, so what's the difference?
"able to use all of it...." only if I need to hop some curbs or dodge some grandma's at my local shopping center in the middle of the week! On weekends I mostly just sit at home so I keep the miles off my truck.
"I live in Tahoe" cant use it here where else could I?
I don't actually know...
yes im in South Lake Tahoe... They arn't in the best shape if anyone wants shocks right now by all means grab Stans. (even though I was thinking the same thing, thanks Corona.) I have an opportunity to get a screamin deal hopefully on the new fox 3.0's front and considering going full 4.0's...
My truck has stock 2.5 shocks never serviced since 2010... never really beat to shit off road, but just never serviced. Changed them to top perch and never had any issues. I want to upgrade in the near future to 3.0's. Are they just trash or is there something I can do with them? Truck has...
I've noticed a burning clutch smell even in 2wd when going up steeper hills. Try turning the traction control completely off and see if the smell still persists.
Lets all just agree not to sell for under 50k, we can inflate the market! Worked for the ford Bronco. We need to unite! haha I feel a reddit post coming along...
Great news boys New Alternator, Belt, And Tensioner did the trick. Ended up just ordering the parts online. Waited forever, it felt like for them finally to arrive, then what do you know? Mother Nature blessed us with the most snow we have got all season. (of course right when I need to work...
My friend wasn't able to make it unfortunately. I don't really want to drive it though. I'm thinking about going to o'riellys to just buy the tool to diagnose it myself I don't know how complicated that is but I'm sure I could ask the parts guy how he would use it to see if my alternator is...
