I’m a property manager in SFbay and 50% of all my move outs are leaving the state. Rents have dropped 20% and show no signs of stopping.
As for bringing in a Raptor from out of state with under 7,500 miles, one needs current title, smog check, weight certificate, VIN inspection/certification...
The UCAs help geometry by correcting caster, which helps return to center and can take the sharpness out of hard bumps. It’s still a bit sharper compared to stock, but I couldn’t imagine it without the UCAs.
There’s a guy in the San Jose area that is running spring under on his Gen2. I don’t know if he’s on here though. I’ve been on one run with him and it seemed to work fine, but I don’t know the specs or install details.
Gas is going away eventually whether it’s banned or exhausted. IMHO 2035 is ambitious to have feasible solutions in place and CA has a bad habit of missing deadlines, so it’ll likely get extended. Vehicles that can go 300+ miles and be ready for the next 300+ miles in under 10 minutes is the key...
I have Ridge Grapplers on my Jeep - best tire I’ve ever owned. Smooth ride to the trails, rock crawl all weekend, smooth ride home. No balancing required either.
This should be standard practice, like is done with city and highway mileage. My father has a Tesla X and it’ll show 300 miles when topped off, but it’ll only do that during a 68 degree dry day. Make it a cold rainy night and that drops by 40 miles. Driving up to Tahoe or towing a small trailer...
It’s a great mod. Before install, verify that the holes are threaded; one of mine wasn’t threaded and I didn’t notice until after the old cover was off.
I always appreciate when someone tries something different, whether or not it came out great.
My only change would be to add air dam to the front end, and maybe slightly fatter tires, otherwise I think it turned out nice. I’d drive jt.
I’ve thought this for years, but it’s all about money and lobbying by corps to get mandated rules that people only use oem or carb certified parts.
The best evolution of the industry because of the CARB rules has how manufacturers have been able to make more power more cleanly and more...
Wired the ARB directly to the battery.
Leaving the 12v port on adds drain to the battery because of system overhead and the USB being active, too, if I recall. I'll go days between starts sometimes, so I try to minimize drain as much as possible.
I had to run a plug in my Jeep because the OEM...
I didn't use Forscan to enable 24/7 on of the 12v port because I didn't want the added drain on the battery. The ARB has a voltage sensor, such that if volts drop below a certain level, the fridge shuts off so you can still start the motor, which I thought was preferable to letting the truck run...
Yes. All Raptors, new or used, brought in from out of state need VIN inspection, weight certificate, and smog certificate.
I had to smog mine with 77 miles on the odometer - and it failed because there wasn’t enough miles since an ECU reset, so I had to drive it another 100 miles to get it to...
Neither the AC nor 12v outlets are on 24/7, and the 12v outlet doesn’t have enough amps to power the fridge.
I bought the ARB wiring kit and connected straight to the battery. The wires are long enough to run over the radiator support, through the clutch hole grommet, and under the sill covers...
