I purchased the Retrax mx trac a few months ago. Retrax was offering the Yakima rack system as a promotion, so it was a good enough incentive to pull the trigger. So far it has been flawless. You do lose a little space, but hanging the ability to partially open the cover and lock it in place...

Great choice, I’ve had mine now for a few months and love it. Got my Yakima bars the other day, they went together easy and will be perfect for spring mountain biking!

Hey John, I had the retrax pro with rail system installed a few weeks ago. I have to say it was a little pcicey, but I believe it’s the best way to go, if your looking for security and the ability to utilize a rack system. Hopes this helps.

I would also recommend +2, I have been researching the same issue for close to six months. I will be raising the front end of mine one and a half inches in the front and installing +2 Deavers.
