Sports Car Owners: Do You Think The Truck is Quick?

Quick is relative and subjective. On dirt... raptor is 'quicker' than all the named sports cars... running errands around town my wife's Outback feels way quicker though in a straight-line it has no chance.

    GEN 2 Offroad Drive Modes

Turning the truck off doesn't change the transfer case, you'd still be in 4H (mud/sand mode uses 4H not 4L). I was specifically referring to NOT engaging the diff lock when you change into mud/sand mode. Ill give baja and sport/4H some more trial on lower speed dirt/trails.

    GEN 2 Offroad Drive Modes

You can make a good case for safety on either side of resetting the drive mode. I'm not sure there is a good safety argument for whether or not the diff lock is automatically engaged. But, if there is no way to make any changes, then there is no reason to discuss further. Thanks for verifying!

    GEN 2 Offroad Drive Modes

I've tried searching for this answer but haven't found it. Is there any way to prevent the drive mode from resetting when you restart the truck? Out on trails this is pretty annoying when you regularly stop for 10-30 min. Also is there a way to prevent the auto diff lock engagement in modes...

    RPG adjustable perch

By this do you mean the adjustable perch collar or something else? If you mean the adjustable perch collar, that's good to hear and exactly what I am looking for! The front approach is already much better than the departure so I don't know if an after market front bumper is really worth...

    RPG adjustable perch

Thanks for the info! The standard +3's and 2.5 bumps are on the way, but I was aware of those options prior to ordering. We are going to start here and see what we think. The trailer is very light at 3200 empty, horse is no more than 1100, several 100 in gear, no major highways to worry...

    RPG adjustable perch

Thanks for the info, much appreciated! I am new to building up off road rigs, this was helpful. My wants and needs differ a little from many on here so I think I'll err on the side of stinkbug rather than Cali/prerunner lean. - ill be on more rocky jeep trails/dirt roads than desert runs -...

    RPG adjustable perch

zombiekiller - thanks! sounds like I should actually start at the 2.5 inch spot too since I'm adding a tonneau, RPG stage 2 bumpstops and hilift jack in the bed.

    RPG adjustable perch

My set will be here soon! Has anyone run these with +3 deavers? I want to be about level with the +1 inch rear, I'm assuming I should go straight to the top position? I'd rather the front be level or marginally lower than the rear.

    Swarfworks Winch Mount Kit?

Awesome, thanks everyone for the info! I have opted to start with perch collars, deavers, and bump stops. I will revisit this winch set up in a few months!

    Swarfworks Winch Mount Kit?

Thanks paulhaskew! Did you move the stock intercooler or did you get the race intercooler that Swarfworks lists as necessary?

    Swarfworks Winch Mount Kit?

Anyone running the Swarfworks winch mount kit with the OEM bumper? I am not overwhelmed with current aftermarket bumper options so I am wondering if any one has an input with regards to this kit? It seems you have to upgrade to a race intercooler whether you go with this kit or a winch bumper.

    2018 Leadfoot Screw - @18raptorCO

I'm signed up for Raptor Assault at the end of the summer! My father in-law is a huge Shelby fan, he's had a few over the years. When he got his 2016, I went to the racing school to hang out and take some pics. Boss Race Car - Panning by jtn, on Flickr 2016 Shelby GT350 by jtn, on...

    2018 Leadfoot Screw - @18raptorCO

Moved to CO a few years ago, bought a 18 Raptor a few weeks ago. My dream truck. Finally something competent and confident for CO's back country (obviously it's also fast, fun, badass, can tow/haul, etc.) Definitely some passes in my future and Moab isn't too far. I can't wait to explore! I...

    Raptor in the snow

I live in CO and recently picked up an '18. So far it seems my wife's '17 Outback with Blizzaks is hands down better on hard pack snow/ice. No surprise there. In fresh snowy conditions the KO2 are adequate. If I were commuting regularly in snow storms on mountain roads, I would get a winter...
