Definitely not. When you register in California you only pay the difference between California's sales tax and wherever you bought it. On the registration form in CA there is a spot for you to put how much tax you've already paid.
I think there is also a way to get a waiver from the dealer in...
A few buyers had mentioned Zook Motors (in PA) on here, and them selling at only $1000 over invoice. I emailed a couple months ago and put my name on the list. They said I was #12, and that it could be 1-2 years before my number came up. Others have since said they are no longer selling that...
I flew to Phoenix ($100 ticket) and purchased my new 2018 for $500 under MSRP and drove the 7 hours back to Santa Barbara. Saved over $5000... worth a days worth of time... I don't usually make $5000/day ($1.8 million per year), so this was worth it for me.
Nice catch. Also listed on their website and cars.com with the same discount. They have three other Raptors without the discount, all FULLY loaded.
If you want a white fully loaded Screw with graphics... can't do much better than this.
Or you have the negative-touch! Maybe the trick is speaking with Marlo... or maybe they realized the market on Raptors is shifting as other dealerships continue to come in at MSRP. Whatever the case, he had no problem coming in at MSRP, and went out of his way to do so. He even offered to...
I'm telling you guys, contact Marlo at Chapman Ford. He came back with msrp right off the bat.
I was actually able to get $500 under MSRP... But mostly because the truck had a bed cover I didn't really want. In the end they ended up not having the cover when I bought it, so he reimbursed me...
I just spoke to most of them and Peoria was definitely a no go. I read from others on here that they haven't been very competitive lately.
Definitely contact Chapman Ford in Scottsdale. Marlo was the man, even picked me up at the airport. He'll do MSRP for sure... maybe you can squeeze a...
Amanda and Mike Wallace. Though this was two weeks ago, and they did stipulate that they were only offering that because they had too many Raptors in stock, and wanted to move one. And that if they did sell one they would not be able to offer that steep of a discount. Could've just been a...
I just picked up my 2018 Magnetic Screw with 802A yesterday. Being from SoCal I couldn't find anything close to MSRP locally. I contacted a ton of dealerships across the nation, but ended up going with Chapman Arizona. They came in $500 under MSRP for a truck that was spec'd exactly how I...
Are you sure the OEM doesn't fold all the way? A got a PM and the user seemed to say that it does fold all the way up. Although, I just watched a video, and looks like you are correct.
Looking at buying a truck that comes with the hard foldable tonneau cover.
I can certainly see times when it would be useful, like family trips, where I'll have a bunch packed in the back. But for the most part, I'd rather it not be there. Is it easy to take off, and put back on when...
Zook told me there is a wait list of 12 people... and that they have only received 4 allocations in the last two years, so it could be a full year or two until my name comes up.
I'm in santa barbara and looking to get a Raptor this year. I'm probably a couple months out... but considering their might be a line... makes sense to throw my hat in now. If you could let me know who your sales guy is... I'd love to contact him and get started.
Thanks so much!
Personally I think buying used can be a great deal, as long as you do your homework, and take your time to find a good deal. If it is still under warranty, and well maintained buying used can be a great value.
That said... buying a Raptor used is going to be tough. So many people payed over...
I had a cermaic coating put on my F-type about 8 months ago.... still very happy with it. Water still beads up like the very first day it was done. You definitely still have to care for your paint: use the two-bucket method, try to touch the paint as little as possible, etc... but it certainly...
Thanks for the advice. Definitely will be ready to jump. I'm hoping that since I know so far in advance, that I'll be able to find a dealer that will let me order one at MSRP.
Some have mentioned Penske... but I've seen other reports contradicting... so I guess we'll see in a few months...
Just because you wouldn't go out of state doesn't invalidate the option. I'm planning on buying in the next 6-8 months... and I'm HOPING I can find a dealer in CA that will go MSRP or lower... but if I can't (and some have been unable to)... I have no problems going out of state.
