It's been a while since I did my radio install but I remember vividly it was nearly impossible to find the wire bundle behind the passenger kick panel. Hard to get to, hard to see and then hard to remove the tape that held the bundle. I almost gave up and hired someone.

You raise a good point. I just assumed they all "recycled" the water but I also assumed it went through a fairly rigorous filtration process. Otherwise there's a fine line between high pressure rinse and sandblasting. I may never take mine through again.

Definitely REMOVE them before the damage starts. Very poor design. Earlier in this thread I posted photos. There are 4 or 5 plastic push style pins that hold them in place. I had the body shop remove them while they had the parts off to repaint and clear coat.
