Was CarPlay an option or standard in ‘18? I don’t remember, when I had my ‘18 it was a custom order with every option and I had CarPlay but don’t recall if CarPlay was one of those options :D
Yep, 100% this. The standalone sim makes the radio much more enjoyable, but the dumb switch back to fm 1 on every start is still annoying.
Previous to this radio, I’ve never had an Android device so I e had to learn a lot but getting the hang of it. For being able to do “whatever you want” on...
1. The sim is a nice to have. You can’t use any of the apps on the radio without data. You can tether to your phone but have to manually go and tether every time. Super annoying.
2. Go 8GB. I’ve heard the 4GB is super sluggish and not very responsive.
If all you plan to do is use CarPlay...
That’s not correct. I use a tablet plan on Verizon in my unit. It was a massive pain to get it activated because you can’t do it in the device (IMEI isn’t recognized by US carriers) so you need another device to activate it. (I only have current Apple devices that don’t have sim slots) I ended...
The Yulu customer support was fantastic to work with. I bought the E10 on the assumption that my Sirius would still work. So I was disappointed to find out that, infact, is not true and after talking with support, it sounds like they are no longer even working on a fix. Their solution is the...
Good info. How does sync do gps tracking without a gps? (i.e. if I don't hook the factory antenna back-up) I don't ever use sync and always have used Waze/Onx/Gaia/etc so looks like I'll be hooking the GPS up
Sorry, don’t mean to ask an on-topic question but…:p
Just sent back my Yulu E10 after finding out Sirius doesn’t work, my reverse camera wouldn’t work, and the factory usb would t work. Ordered the Autotec Pro instead. Does the autotec require external mics? On the GPS topic, can it use the...
So many in this thread comparing their older wranglers to the current ones, that’s like comparing a Raptor to a Wrangler. They are completely different vehicles.
With that said, the problems with a Wrangler aren’t solved with the 392. It just makes the other problems more tolerable. I’ve had...
Back when I had my '18, Accidentally hit the button on the exterior handle and it locked the truck with the keys in it. I had never used the door code so no idea what it was, would regularly use Ford Pass but I was at my cabin which doesn't have any kind of cell signal for miles. Luckily we...
Maybe it’s coincidence, or maybe some other reason but it wasn’t from interference. Garage openers (specifically homelink that’s it your truck) operate in the 288mhz to 433mhz range, your wifi is going to be 2.4ghz or 5ghz so no chance of interference.
Yep, spot on. This isn’t a rear end thing at all, I actually have the Icon multi rate leafs in the rear. Next time I’m on the interstate I’ll see if I can get a video of the behavior for those that aren’t familiar with bump steer.
I’ve wondered about getting some lighter springs for the front...
At least around here, Porsche's aren't selling at sticker...many dealerships can't even sell a 911 because their allocations are sold out for as far as they can see. My dealer said if I ordered it would be at minimum a 2 year wait but they couldn't even promise that. Even Cayennes have $10K...
To be clear, the bump steer I'm talking about is at freeway speeds and hitting bigger bumps like an overpass transition. Again, it's not significant, but does exist. It's not just being a truck. For reference, my 2017 Raptor did not exhibit this but it was bone stock. So that's why I was...
I’ve noticed that when I’m at freeway speeds (75-80mph) when I hit bumps I get a bit of bump steer effect. My truck does have the Fox Factory 3.0s, RPG UCA, RPG tie-rods, and 37” tires. It’s not scary or uncontrollable like you can get on Jeeps or Dodges, I’m more just curious is there anything...
It’s not possible. Most vehicles (including the Raptor) do not have wireless CarPlay capability from the factory.
I used the CarlinKit for both my Raptor and my wife’s Panamera and it’s been flawless. The only thing I wish is that it would auto connect but not switch to the CarPlay screen. It...
I think it was a Friday build. I had non-stop issues with it. Interior door panels would pop off when I’d close the door, tail gate opener stopped working even after being replaced multiple times, among many other non-stop small annoying things. Though the real issue was with the transmission...
Lol, yeah. Most of what was done with this truck was already on my list to do to any truck, I just saved a bit of cash (and time) already having it done.
After my experience with my first 2018 Raptor, I wasn't sure if I would ever own another. Anyways, here I am trying the Raptor again. :D Debated between buying new again or finding something slightly used maybe with some aftermarket goodies. Decided I like instant gratification so went the...
Thanks Everyone! Winfield reached out to me and I'll be placing an order with Goosetuned. Customer service is extremely important to me, getting a good product (as evident by the satisfied people in this thread/forum) is just a nice benefit ;).
So what's the difference in Stage 2 vs. 1? I keep seeing Stage 2 is with an intercooler. Is that the only difference or is the actual tune different as well. i.e. If I went with a Goosetuned, since I already have the SVC intercooler, is there any benefit of stage 2 over stage 1 being they are...
