traded an 18' for a 20'. My 18' was 802a super cab with no sunroof and no tech package, the 20 is an 802a super crew. The live wire shocks make a huge difference in ride quality, much more controlled especially when making a turn. I did not notice any difference in screen resolution. Adaptive...
The issue is not the latches so spraying the latches won't help, the issue is the moisture inside the cable housing. You use force to pull the cable one way through the cable housing when opening the door but there is not enough force within the handle to pull the cable back through the frozen...

Wonder if the third recall in this notice is for the same thing you are experiencing.
spraying the latch will not solve the problem most people are having. Clearly, it will avoid the actual latch itself from freezing but the problem addressed in the TSB is unrelated to the latch itself freezing. The TSB addresses the moisture being allowed to enter the inner door and get trapped...
you can also ask them to connect your truck to their IDS and check for the latest PCM update. IDS will prompt the tech to update once it's connected. I did the update in house (have IDS for a fleet) and the improvement in shift quality was very apparent. Update only takes a few minutes to process.
When I first saw that TSB I laughed. It's a good one. Cut some heater hose and clamp it to the cross bar.....lol. Almost as bad as some of the steps in the door latch freezing TSB.
I think it has more to do with transitioning from above freezing to well below freezing and moisture content in the air as well as condensation in the door. You may be lucky or you may have a better sealed door or maybe you have extra grease somewhere that everyone else doesn’t. I had a 17’...
When I tried injecting lube into the cable housing using just the standard wd40 straw, all I got a was a mess. I'm sure some lubricant gets into the housing but a syringe and needle works much better.

The TSB is almost entirely created to waterproof the door. At the tail end of the TSB, they have the tech spray lubricant down the cable housing from the inside end even though the straw on the lubricant can won't get anything in the housing as it is too large. Then they want the tech to source...
Wanted share my experience with the door latch freezing issue. Both front doors on my supecab froze in the unlatched position one morning. I park outdoors overnight but inside a heated garage during the day. This parking arrangement is ideal for the formation of condensation in the doors and...
Had one on my 17 super duty and it cracked. They are made of plastic and not very durable. If you don’t put anything remotely heavy in them, they may last but I had some heavy jumper cables, a hitch hook and some tow straps in mine and the weight caused the plastic to crack around the metal rod...
there is an update that positively affect trans performance. go the dealer and ask if they can hook your truck up to IDS for the latest PCM update and any other updates that may be available. Tell them your trans is shifting rough so they have reason to create a ticket.
I have had mine for a while now and was having trouble in the beginning with a wrench icon and limp mode upon start up. It would go away after a couple of starts but randomly appear again on start up only, never while driving. I emailed customer service and they sent me a replacement chip with a...
