So if mpt is a weak tune, and the others don't solve the drivability issues, what else is there? Stay stock, or just go with a pedal Commander to fix the drivability?
Good thing so many spoke up about the cam phaser rattle. Without that, Ford wouldn't be redesigning them right now. Hopefully they get it right this time... But they are on at least the third attempt.

Probably better if you Google "ecoboost cold start rattle". Listen to all those videos and you will get the idea. Ford has revised cam phasers at least twice e now and they have another design coming soon to address current problems.

The timing chain was never the root of the problem. Once the cam phasers rattled and broke, the result was a stretched chain. And, no, the problem was never corrected. Ford has redesigned cam phasers at least twice before and they have a "new" version coming soon to address the latest issues.
100% correct with that. Get the Oasis to verify it wasn't one of the Lemon Law'ed / buy-backs. Purchasing sight unseen is a risk, but if the deal is ok and you have fluff in it for any corrections, then go for it.
