How dramatic was the ride difference after you added leaf springs? Thats a sweet looking setup by the way. Also, what size is recommend cause I dont ever have anything in bed of my truck so not sure if back end will sit higher than front with specific sice.
I wish i had stuck with my 17”. I use to strictly use it on hwys so it was never a problem. Well now i work in oilfield and have to drive down wash board roads. And the ride has definitely been rough. If you stick to paved roads shouldn’t be a problem as i never did until scenery change for...
I work in the oil field and use my 2013 Raptor for traveling rig to rig. I travel down some pretty crazy wash board roads. I upgraded to Fox 2.5 DSC coilovers and shocks to help “soften” the ride a bit. Now i wanna upgrade my leaf springs but want any suggestions on a preference you may have...
Damn, really appreciate the info, didnt even think about bump stop. Well, guess im gonna add a bit more to the piggy bank to get all at once. Soon as get my money right in a few weeks ill get with you for a quote. Again, thanks alot.
Luckily i kept my stock wheels for a rainy day, and that rainy day has arrived lol. And already found some KO2 35’s to go with it. Might go shopping around for some after market 18’s before i buy tires though. Maybe that stimulus check will come in handy after all
Well the tires and wheels is another issue im changing. So.....before i had a work truck, my Raptor was strictly a street king, never off roaded. Changed jobs so now i have to use it which not a big deal, lol. But i currently have 20” wheels and 35” tires. Not much cushion at all. And...
Well i never got to feel the 2.5. I went from stock straight to 3.0. And they feel a hell of a lot better than stock. My shocks were already over due so not sure if its because my stock were that bad or these 3.0 are that good lol. Still playing with the settings a bit since im driving...
Yeah im slowly learning quite a bit from the varieties. I wont be pulling any trailers or carrying loads so i know i wont have to get too crazy with it. But these rough ass wash board roads are the annoying part. Just trying to soften the way truck feels a bit. And i dont see very many...
yeah ive been reading alot of people having Deavers but wanted to see if any “one” was that much greater than the other. I know sometimes these mods are subjective but the more responses the merrier. Appreciate your feed back
I just upgraded my coil overs and rear shocks to Fox 3.0 DSC. I work in oil field and travel through rough ass wash board roads. Any suggestions on leaf springs? Trying to get smoothest ride possible
Im a newbie and only had my 2013 Raptor for 3 months but finally added some character to my truck. I know alot of you dicks dont like 20" wheels, but this truck is just a "street queen" lol. Dont have enough money to offf road every weekend and maintenance my truck haha. Let me know whatcha...
First thing you should do is put a V8 in it lol. Just messing with ya. Im a gen 1 owner and just purchased a few months ago. Read all the forums for specific mods. There is a lot of good info in here. Ive been learning alot about truck in here. Good luck and get that bank account ready to...
