    Relay Box

I have that box and think would certainly suggest it. The box is the right price and the wiring isn't difficult.

    Having high beam switch control

I didn't tap when I made the the harness. I removed all the unused pins and soldered a lead wire to the appropriate high beam wire. I made that lead wire about 8" and connected a weatherpack connector, which then connects to a longer wire back to my relay/aux light box. so you can easily...

    Having high beam switch control

I got it all installed and works amazing!!! Exactly as I wanted it with the high beams auto triggering all the lights and ability to disable the 'auto all' with AUX6 flipped on. AUX1-3 have independent control of the lights as described earlier. Wow what an amazing amount of light these Baja...

    Having high beam switch control

As noted the setup/diagram Flzrider shared works as it was intended. However, it wasn't quite what I was wanting. I have finally came up with a diagram I am confident will work to achieve my goal. By default All lights will turn on Automatically when high beams engaged WITH AUX6 acting as...

    Having high beam switch control

I matched the wiring for the factory harness that goes into the headlight and removed the unused wires. It's not difficult, just have to take your time. The longest part was figuring out how to get the WPT-1321 to release the pins. Here is a video that will help with changing the pin/wires...

    Having high beam switch control

I'm not going disagree that the diodes aren't needed, because I don't know. I would prefer to stay away from using diodes as a point of failure, because they're not as easily swapped out like a relay is. Though I would like someone else to weigh in here, because as noted - we're not experts...

    Having high beam switch control

Headlight harness made and works perfectly!!! No splicing! Had to trim a little ridge off one side. Took awhile to repin, but I can confirm these are the right parts. Installed and working!!! So excited not to hack into factory wiring.

    Having high beam switch control

Thank You So Much!!! It makes perfect sense to me now. You are right, I won't be quitting my day job :ROFLJest: You are correct that the terminal (30) was throwing me off, that and using the relays "backwards", where the feed goes to the lights, and the outputs are hooked up to the switches...

Not sure where you found this. Any chance you could find the 2017 one too?

Here's my latest diagram. Correct it for me if it needs to be.

    Having high beam switch control

Still need diodes unless you make sure to have Aux6 (high beam switch) off while using the others. I understand the SPTD relay somewhat, but would like someone to map out the actual wiring from my diagram earlier. Got my FRL lights today and hope to start building a harness this weekend once...

    Having high beam switch control

I like your idea and design, but I can't seam to grasp what wires go where on the SPDT relays. As you can probably tell from all the diagrams I keep mocking up. From your SPST relay that gets pwr from battery - which then gets triggered from high beams and sends signal out (87) Where does...

    Having high beam switch control

Thanks NDO - Ill look at your sketch more thoroughly tomorrow - heading to bed - brain is raked! ---------- Post added at 01:29 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:24 AM ---------- Wow I missed this in all my fumbling. This looks so much easier and makes sense... Thanks man!!!

    Having high beam switch control

Thanks NDO - I asked the guy at work about the previous diagram after I made it, but not sure he was totally getting what I wanted to do. Anyway after taking a break from this for awhile and your input I feel like I'm getting closer. How many times have I said that now!?! hahaha First IMG...

    Having high beam switch control

FYI - Coloring of wires in drawing don't mean anything, just makes it easier to follow the path of the wires. What you guys think?

    Having high beam switch control

Spoke with electrical engineer at work and explained what I was wanting to do and he confirmed this new drawing should accomplish this. AUX1-3 ability to turn on/off lights independently. Aux6 should trigger all lights with signal from high beams

    Having high beam switch control

Upon further thinking... Wouldnt AUX6 connect to SPDT 30 along with the other AUX switches and then pigtail both SPDT wires 87 & 87a to the light. Or maybe Aux6 needs to connect to SPDT 86 along with the SPST 87 wires... I think I made a good diagram and have read a lot about these relays...

    Having high beam switch control

I'm not sure if I have this right. Can some one please weigh in and tell me what to correct if anything.... I added AUX 3 back in the picture just in case I changed my mind.

OKAY wise ones!! Does this look right? Seems like I am missing something....

    Having high beam switch control

I would like to know this too. However, I think I've changed my mind on having the 3 independent switched lights. I think I'm going to try Flzrider's route, as I can't see any reason to have my BD Spots not on without the high beams. New plan: AUX6 - activate all lights with high beam trigger...

    Having high beam switch control

I like the idea of skipping diodes all together, but I have a hard time making heads or tails of your post it. If you have time and can elaborate in detail which wires connect to where I will definitely go this route. I just order some SPDT Relays. All materials including my FRL kit will be...

    Auto dimming high beams?

I enabled it through Forscan and it didn't work. Changed IPC 720-01-01 xxx* xxxx xxxx. From B to F. It showed up on settings, but it was greyed out and I couldn't select Ok to turn on. User LivnitUp from f150forums. Stated 'You need the IPMA camera in the rear view mirror for AHB to work.'...

    Having high beam switch control

Okay upon studying my schematic more I'm thinking I needed additional diodes. Can someone look at it and tell me if it finally looks correct? Sorry for my ignorance on this, but I think I'm figuring it out. Assuming the wiring is routed properly for the relays and everything else. I may...

    Having high beam switch control

Do guys you think I could use these kind of diodes? https://www.amazon.com/AKOAK-Schottky-Blocking-Diodes-15SQ045/dp/B01CXOQMJ8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1516220114&sr=8-3&keywords=dc+diode

    Having high beam switch control

I was wondering about that after your comments. Wouldn't I have to leave the original diodes as well, in case I power the lights from AUX2-4? Here is another sketch with the added AUX2-4 diodes. So I think I would need a total of 6 diodes for this setup. Hopefully I'm along the right path...
