5k is a lot of coin to spend on a truck that already has good paint. As much as I did it for durability I also did it for uniqueness. Black raptors seam to be a dime a dozen.
The truck was originally black so I left the door jams alone. The black ties in nicely and I was worried about wind noise if i line-x the door jams.

My wife has a White 18 Raptor. Now that she sees mine she wants to line-x hers. Plus there is an identical raptor to hers in town. Dude even running same fogs and very similar wheels. Needless to say she is pissed lol. She will be going line-x white with satin black accents. The painter said he...
Found this online. According to a line-x installer.......
"LINE-X will add like 500 lbs" - False, We spray exteriors around 65mils on average. At that thickness you achieve the tough coating you want and don't add a significant amount of weight. Less than 90 lbs on average for a full size...
My buddy has the revolver and swears by it over the bakflip he had. I have the MX4 already or else I would probably go with the revolver. The rail system is designed better and it rolls up flawlessly. He also said that he can wash his truck or drive through rain storm and it seals 100%
I have had a few bakflip bed covers and never had any issues. Just installed the mx4 on my truck and noticed that it barely is wide enough to latch. The latch only overlaps the rail system by maybe 1/8” on each side. Almost like the bed cover is for a slightly more narrow bed. Serial number...
They mix pearls and metallics with the paint. Also they put several layers of sealant over it to keep the paint shiny and give it the gloss. Looks Matte when it’s cloudy. Very shiny when the sun is out. My truck was originally black but I went with the gunmetal color cause black is hard to keep...

You are correct. It was nerve racking having someone take my new truck and grind the paint off. My trucks live hard lives. My 17 Raptor that I traded...
Went by their shop today. They were working on their first raptor. Said they have 4 so far receiving the kits. Going to be a 93 tune and E85 tune. They shooting for 150whp and 200tq on 93. Not sure on E85. I’m anxiously awaiting their results. Already got a quote and getting in line.
I believe I read somewhere that you are in the northeast. I live in Texas where it hits 100+ with high humidity. Take a stroll down to Texas in August and I feel you will have a different experience. Just an assumption of mine based off my own personal experience. As I have already stated. I’m...
Take it from someone who jumped on he MPT bandwagen. I wasn’t impressed. I have the luxury of comparing stock to tuned on a daily basis as my wife and buddy have stock raptors. Whipple is the way to go as they offer intercooler with their setup. These trucks aren’t good for more than around...
Logs have been emailed.... awaiting some answers from PC to the drivability issues.....
After a few more days of driving with this combo, the quirks are actually getting more pronounced. At first I was impressed but now it’s just becoming annoying. Seems to be getting worse as the truck...
I emailed the logs. All logs PC was active but I assure you that with or without the quirks are the same. If need be I can log tomorrow without PC active.
You make a great point haha. Honestly I just couldn’t stand going from my tuned 17 to stock 18. This is something to get me till I get custom tune. I’m not experiencing much of the problems others are. My main complaint is the occasional hesitation. Am I taking it off before I get custom tune...
I unplugged PC and the hesitation is still there. I have an Ngauge and can data log. I would like to get this dialed in out of straight curiosity. I’m going a different route anyways but if I can get this dialed in then my buddy will take it. Otherwise I’ll chalk it up as an experiment. Send it...
The hesitation is anytime you stab the throttle. It will accel then studder for a moment then cleans up and goes. If you roll into the throttle it does not do it. The strange shifts aren't under hard accel but more slightly aggressive driving in normal mode.
