I currently have the livernois and have had it since February. They’d till don’t have the transmission tuning for it yet. Kinda disappoint in them at this point. I have two other ecoboost platforms tuned but them, both 13’s explorer sport and an sho. It adds decent power gains but wishing now I...
I'm LMS tuned but never thought stock it was slow. Once tuned though you will notice the difference when you have to take the tune out for any reason. (dealer visit, inspection, etc..)
Ive have three ecoboost platforms tuned, a SHO, explorer sport, and now raptor. All three you wonder why...
Got the Roush CAI installed today. Only driven a few miles but typical CAI changes. A little more noise but not much as the Roush for the 18’s have a lid and totally enclosed. I’ve had plenty in the past and my main goal is looks and some sound and what ever flow increase they may have. For...
Personally I didn’t care for the body roll on the street and went with the hellwig rear sway bar. Eliminated most all of the unwanted body roll and made the road handling a lot more pleasurable without really hurting any other aspect. Personally I off-road very little and have no plans for any...
I noticed that roush now has a 18’ only CAI. It’s fully enclosed unlike the 17’ model. Also the instructions say not to remove the intake silencers?
2018 F-150 ROUSH 2.7L and 3.5L EcoBoost V6 Cold Air Intake Kit
Noticed ROUSH did update the CAI for the 2018s. Still not sure why the difference between years..http://www.roushperformance.com/parts/2018-ecoboost-v6-f150-cold-air-intake-kit.html
I have downpipes on an ecoboost but not the raptor platform. From my non raptor experience you will see a gain stock but not much (unless the stock DP's are very restrictive). The raptor DP's do not look to be that restrictive being a stock unit.
Without tuning you will most likely not realize...
Just got off the phone with Roush. I too am interested in one of their CAI's and noticed the part number only shows it available for the 15-17. They said that they were different and would have a different part number and should be available for the 18's in a couple of weeks. Who I spoke with...
I think the roush unit comes with an extension for it. If you bought it used they most likely didn't give it to you with the unit. If you look on roush's website at the CAI it shows the extension in the pic.
I inquired at the local chain (actually pretty good car washes) and one manager said it would fit and the other said it would not. Unless I actually see one going through it mine wont be in there on a "it should fit".
I have the livernois. Just got it and only have a few miles since. Overall very happy with the gains but livernois doesn’t have trans tuning yet so wouldn’t be apples to apples. Anyway not have any;thing to compare to so I couldn’t say better or worse. I do have two other ecoboost platforms...
Got the tune installed this evening. Started with the 93 performance tune since the tank was full of 93 exxon.
Granted this isn't my first tune on an ecoboost and my third from Livernois.
First of all I always like to put a few miles on a new tune to let the vehicle learn. Also I had a...
I will know sometime this week as the tuner should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. They said that the 18 tunes were done in 93 and 91 octane and the other fuel grades and towing should be finished very soon.
Since the gen II came out I’ve only seen 4 In my area or on the road. I live in a small town that’s within 30 mins of two decent size city’s. Anyway the wife and I went to eat out and when we came out you’d thought there was a raptor convention in the parking lot. There were 3 gen II’s and two...
Yeah they have both 17’ and 18’ tuning just not the transmission tuning yet only engine tuning. They swidv6he trans tuning was close and would update when ready. There would also be a bump in hp and torque when this is done.
Well if its like the previous gen sync the POS wouldn't stay on what you set it on anyway. Both my 13's with sync will not stay on the setting for long and will default to the light blue. I guess if you cant fix it do away with it.
Not a good way to describe other than a "crunching" sound when you apply pressure. Temperature does seem to make an effect as the colder it is the louder and more noticeable it is. The passenger side doesn't do this its just the drivers side. Taking it to the dealer this week to let them look at...
For a V6i think ford did a good job with the exhaust on these trucks. Everyone has their own opinion on what sounds good but imo V6’s are very difficult to get to sound good. Hell a V8 I could be happy with 3 or 4 different set ups and all would sound ok, but a v6 is a totally different animal...
