I have a feeling Ford will go all out with the Raptor R. I hope it tops the TRX in every way. The TRX will be fun, but I’ll be glad to go back to the Raptor if Ford comes through with the R. Great times to be a truck enthusiast.
Lol, if you didn't care, why did you even respond to me in the first place? I'm not a Ram or TRX fan boy, or a Ford fan boy. I current have a Gen2 Raptor and it's a great truck (if you don't believe that, just search my posts here. I helped out on a number of threads figuring out how to wire up...
I wasn't pretending anything. You made an assumption about me that wasn't true. It wasn't meant as a brag, but the truth is, I'm fortunate to be in a position that I don't have to worry about resale on the TRX or any of my other cars.
And how do you know I don't post on some other supercar forums?
WTF lame. And it definitely sounded like a V6. "More to come in 2022" That's probably the V8 version. Yeah, I'll stick with my TRX until then most likely. Nothing in that video got me excited about the Gen3.
I hope it's faster than the TRX. I like progress. I have a Gen2 Raptor, which is a great truck, a TRX on order (still haven't gotten it yet, but hopefully soon!), and will buy a Gen3 Raptor if they do a V8 that competes or beats the TRX in power and hopefully offroad capability as well.
What I...
I started my own business nearly 20 years ago. I worked my butt off for many of those years and was very frugal. It’s now become extremely successful and affording a Raptor is easy. I also own many other nice cars, such as McLarens, Porsche’s, etc.
I’m interested and will be watching, though I haven’t been impressed with the renders. I’m hoping the real thing looks better.
I definitely won’t be buying year one though. I’ll wait until they work out the bugs on the new platform and for the Z06 version.
For now, I have a GT3RS that is...
Very happy with my 2018. The 2019 wasn’t different enough for me to go through the hassle of swapping all the modifications I’ve done to my 2018 over to a new truck. If the 2020 has a V8 option I will be buying for sure though.
I suppose it depends on the model, but my wife’s Toyota Sienna minivan is nowhere near as good build quality as my Raptor. The doors on the Sienna feel thin and cheap and they rattle when you close them. My 2018 Raptor has been great for quality and reliability so far at about 23k miles. I love it.
I did a HID retrofit to a 2011 F350 using the Morimoto relays and had one go down on me too. When I bought the replacement they looked different and I noticed the new ones performed much better. In particular, they warmed up much faster to full brightness, where the old ones would start out blue...
Lol at the butthurt over the potentially coming 5.2l. If you can’t afford to take a depreciation hit then maybe you should be buying a cheaper vehicle? I’ll gladly buy a 5.2l if they make it and will have no worries about any depreciation on my 3.5l V6. It’s been a great truck and I’ve enjoyed...
What about just locking the rear? With it being so light in the back I’m just wondering how useful the extra power is from a dig. I already can spin pretty easily on a stock motor. It would be nice if the drivetrain could be upgraded to handle the extra power and get it all to the ground.
Very nice. Any idea how much power the drive train components can handle? What’s the weak link there?
What about launches in the different 4wd modes? I’m wondering what that can handle before things start breaking.
