Mine is doing the same thing but has not thrown a code. It used to happen only when the engine wasn’t to temp and going up a slight incline at the top gear. Now it is happening in daily driving and towing. As soon as it happens I let out of the throttle completely and it (most of the time) will...
My 2017 with 82k miles has been down at the dealership for a month due to the carrier and pinion bearings going out. Right now the pinion bearings are on national backorder with potential fulfillment in mid September. I've not been able to help the dealer source them since any dealer parts...
Has anyone seen a drop in fuel economy since their cam phaser fix? Whether it was the new phasers, new brakes, winter blend fuel or whatever, I now have a 30% drop in fuel economy.
I spec'd out a set of front slotted and rear blank rotors with the geomet coating that Freedom recommends with posi quiet pads. I didn't get do any calipers or anything since I hear that is pretty much a waste. I got an awesome deal on the rotors from R1 on sale, otherwise I was going to stick...
I finally got the 2019 shocks installed and went ahead and installed some R1 concepts brakes and front stainless lines.
Shocks ride fine with the live valve delete. Feels a little firm, but honestly don't remember what stock suspension rides like. The delete puts them into full-soft "mode" and...
Give Injected Engineering in Kennesaw a call. Reputable shop and they put out quality work. Only shop that I'd be comfortable with working on my stuff and knowing it would be done right.
Ended up being a loose core in the fitting that RPG sent. Tightened it up with the $1.99 valve stem tool and all good. Will be picking a day in a week or two to install.
We were just notified by my daughter's school that someone she sits next to in class tested positive for covid, so now we get...
The end of last week I dropped off the truck at the dealer because of a cold-start rattle. Getting the cam phasers replaced and some other minor stuff resolved, all under the extended warranty.
Started about a year ago, so about 65k miles. Has 72k miles now and never had a CEL. No drivability...
I believe it just needs to be tightened, but don't have a tool on hand to do it. Will head to the auto parts store in the morning to get the right tool.
When I was checking it, the plunger was sticking up just a hair more than the others, so think it may just need to be tightened.
I finally got my nitrogen tank setup since nobody close to me would charge them with nitrogen. After charging one of the rear shocks, the schrader valve started leaking under pressure, so the valve may not be fully seated in the fitting. I need to go get a tool to tighten it up and see if that...
So what is the risk of the little bit of air that is left in there after installing the plug? Should that be bled or is that not enough to be a problem?
The delete kit removes the needle valve that restricts the fluid flow to the reservoir. This needle valve is normally closed when it isn't powered, which is what makes them go to full stiffness. Removing the needle valve solves the issue and allows fluid to flow freely like the older shocks.
Not yet. I'll try and get the fronts done this weekend.
Been having a hard time finding a shop that will charge them. Some see it as a liability that they need to be bled and don't want to be held liable for anything that may happen to them. It's fair, don't blame them.
So, I may bleed them...
