I ordered a couple spare pulleys and I just received a notification the part number changed. Hopefully that’s acknowledgment of a problem and a fix.

I may have to look into that as well. I think the bearing is garbage and in a short period of time creates an excessive tolerance. Or it’s not sealed properly and the slightest moisture creates hell.

I was thinking it might be something out of alignment but who knows. I think I’ll have them replace the belt the next time too. It’s literally a $30 part that makes it sound like a 2003 Maxima with 247,000 miles on it lol

Once a year I’ll do a 10,000 to 12,000 mile road trip around America. I’ve always tan Amsoil Synthetic in factory weight with their Maximum Efficiency oil filter (EAO17). Never an issue after almost 100K miles on my Gen 2 and so far no issues on my Gen 3 doing the same thing.

It hasn’t been hot enough to get them warm while driving yet. Since the splash guards are vented it shouldn’t be too bad. I’ll be driving to the southwest in a couple months so I’ll give it a good test in triple digit heat then.
