Interesting. I hadn’t heard of the daystar cradles until now. Definitely give us an update on your thoughts of the with/without cradles if you decide to remove them.
I just installed the 89413 kit on my Raptor but haven’t driven it enough to form any opinions on ride difference.
Are we all...
Here is the corrected diagram (excuse the poor iphone sketching).
Your graphics skills are good, but don’t quit your day job to be an electrical engineer. Haha. I think you were getting hung up on the description of lead “30” as high power feed. The key word is “common”. Meaning it is the...
The only way you can make this work without a SPDT relay is if you use diodes, which is just more complexity and room for error or failure.
I don't know why you guys are trying to reinvent the wheel here. I showed you the diagram I used and have confirmed I have done it and it works.
Using my setup, if you hit AUX6 then AUX1 and AUX2 do nothing at all (even if the high beams are currently triggering it or not).
My schematic is probably as good as it's going to get in terms of drawing it out. Most relays will have a little drawing on it that shows you which leads do what...
I’m not sure why you’re planning on using diodes if this can be accomplished so much easier with relays. The schematic I posted earlier is exactly what you’re trying to accomplish: manual control of your fog/driving lights while also being able to switch them to an automatic mode where they turn...
I used this style of tap on the driver's side headlight high beam lead. These are my favorite style of tap.

I originally had my fog lights wired up to the AUX1 & AUX2 switches, but I quickly realized two things:
1. The fog lights were aimed high enough that they really weren't fog lights, more like extra road lights, although I actually preferred it that way.
2. It was not ergonomic or safe to be...
I have a Mini 0906 2 channel dash cam in my Raptor. I bought an add-a-circuit kit on amazon (make sure it is micro2 size) and used a digital multimeter to find a switched power source in the fuse panel in the passenger footwell. I can’t recall the fuse position I ended up using but I do recall...
Yea, if you didn't get the tailgate applique on a 2018, you got the stamped tailgate. That's really the only exterior change.
The truck is in Miami now but it spends about half of the year in a town about an hour north of Boone, NC.
I did the same thing but the thickness of the light bar (which is very thin to begin with) plus the height of the bracket and bolts was too large and I had interference with the tailgate in the closed position. I ended up removing the alignment bracket all together, but the idea of using counter...
Diodes aren’t necessary if using relays.

Awesome! Thanks for the quick reply.
I currently have my lights setup to be turned on/off with AUX 1 & 2. I would like to make one of the unused AUX switches (maybe AUX 6) change the way the lights function. In one position, the lights will operate like I just mentioned, in the other...
Using an add-a-fuse sounds like a great idea, but I looked through the owners manual (you can find them online) and did not find any fuse dedicated to the high beams. I guess we will just have to tap the high beam lead on the headlights.
Good info. Can you provide a pin number or wire color...
Do you have Forscan capabilities? If so, you probably have a ton of stored codes you can clear in there as well. I believe those are more vehicle specific than the generic OBD codes.
That's a good recap of everything that has been discussed in this thread.
Personally, I would like to see a solution similar to this one: Stop/Start Custom Disabling Device Build - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums
It's essentially a timer that mimics the pressing of the...
I believe the 2018 Raptors continue to use the older adaptive cruise (without stop and go) as the 2017s. So I guess the question still stands, whether it can be retrofitted onto 2017 & 2018 Raptors. I assume it will require some hardware addition as well as software coding.
