I would go for it. Your truck is a year older and with a new tranny will be hard to sell. The new suspension on the 2019 could prove amazing. It sucks driving a vehicle that you do not trust.
Good luck at the dealer. The hard shifting is going to be tough to duplicate for the dealer. Hopefully there are others who have reported a similar issue.
Wow fellas, thanks for all the input. It's great hearing from former tundra owners. At a minimum, I need to take one out for a test drive to see for myself. The tundra is the only pickup I have ever owned, so my experience with trucks is not extensive
I have seen lots of posts where guys are referring to the high tech involved with the raptors. Are they talking about the different drive modes or is there more to it than that? I did see some references to the self driving features, perhaps that is what the tAlk is about.
That's encouraging hearing from former tundra owners. I am also amazed at the cost here in Canada. It's basically about $100,000 here. Ouch. I am also considering buying a nice luxury vehicle and keeping the old truck. The new luxury vehicle would become my daily driver while my old truck...

The forums would be pretty dead if everyone simply googled for info. It was a douche move in my opinion. Hkguns over the top response when he was called out for it suggests he recognizes that. Anyway, I'm sure everyone has bigger things to worry about
