I would focus on doors, back wall, then floors in that order. Remember, deadener simply tames resonances...does not sound proof. Yes the cab will be quieter, but yes you will still hear tires, you will hear exhaust etc...hopefully you will NOT hear rattles from certain frequencies. Deadener...
My 2012 Raptor has been at the Ford dealership all day and will be spending the night. Both my truck keys are missing and I had the truck towed this morning to the nearest Ford dealership so they could cut and program new keys for me.(first time losing keys ever)
Dealership just called and said...
Keep it simple...get a couple decent 10's and a affordable 1000 watt amp and call it done.
The subwoofers and enclosure are the most important pieces.....power is cheap these days, buy a 1000 watt mono amp for a few hundred bucks
On your first option, what do you need 13 channels and two dsp"s for...I thought it was a subwoofer upgrade??
Same question for the second (cheaper) option?...what do you need two 4 channel amps for??
Do not run rears full range, rear fill is mid range only. I'd start at 350hz-5000hz to start, then squeeze them in from there...trial and error. I also usually run a very shallow slope around 6db...because what's the point of a steep slope with no transition to another speaker?? For time...
You're gonna need a decoupler between your CLD titles and your MLV....Closed cell foam works great. The MLV needs to be decoupled in order to "block sound"
Also, if there are any resonances left over, IF the MLV is in direct contact with the resonances, the resonances will pass through the MLV...
Are you using test tones or music? Use test tones. Also, level matching the front speakers can shift your stage right or left...make sure you are level matched. Don't over think time alignment...make measurements to your ears, set them accordingly and the rest of your imaging should be done...
I just finished my system install a few months ago...the PAC will solve the issue and yes the Sony amp is sabotaging the sound quality. I'd highly recommend an aftermarket HU simply for peace of mind...I have tested factory HU's that SEEMED to have a clean signal. Once an aftermarket HU was...

Crash, you can't see any of it at night...promise
Yes, climb under the truck near the transmission tunnel and frame rails...you'll see over a dozen factory holes that can be patched/covered with deadener. You'll also see on the frame rails SVT placed deadener over some factory holes....my factory stuff was starting to fall off so re-covered...
Lots of guys are against this move especially if you start adding 1/4"+ spacers. Your spacer becomes the weakest link in the chain. and things can bad really quick. My advice, if you're dead set on spacing out the factory wheel, buy the highest quality possible and keep spacer size to a...
Don't know if it can be salvaged, but the wrap/graphic can be removed and the factory paint can be restored. I however, would make the dealer remove and restore factory paint before I would buy. It won't be too much of a problem for the seller to make this happen, and the customer service...
Hello members, just bought my first Raptor and I am loving it. First thing I have to address is this horrible audio system. Plans are an active 3-way front stage hopefully utilizing most of my old equipment from my Ram 2500.
Gonna try to integrate my beloved P99 as the source ...we'll see...
