    Power steering failure, crash

Yes its weird, the warmer the truck gets the worse the steering is. I can see some of the places its leaking, definetly coming out the pumps shaft but pretty wet all around. Its 5F here now and after 10min idleing it just fights to turn, even on snow! Im going to let the shop figure it out...

    Power steering failure, crash

I had my power steering pump/rack blow out while swerving around a car that slamed on its brakes. I was able to miss the car but hit a small garage. I was only doing about 35. Its like the steering froze up and the ffkin truck was doing donuts all over the place. Anyway what should I get for a...

    Maintenance for unused shocks

Idk, theres a company that basically sell heavy duty bags you drive your truck into. Disconnect the battery, unload the suspension (jack stands) . A large dessicant pack is placed in there and you can suck it shut with a shop vac or fill the bag with nitrogen. Yes you will suffocate if you go in...

Perch Mod vs Leveling Kit Discussion

I take it this has about 2-3" of spacer lift? It also has some kind of alignment ring on top of the tower. After reading this I want to do the top perch mod or get new coils. I also want to get a caster camber kit.I am running a 10k winch and about 60lbs of lights and brackets. Now for the...

    6.2 sparkplugs ?

Is the .030 gap to prevent flame blowout? I was curious if the coils on the Raptor work like the standard DIS coils , where one fires center electrode to ground and the other ground electrode to center? Would a voltage stabilizer using capacitance/reactance to reduce voltage noise and...

    6.2 sparkplugs ?

Curious why no one is running the Denso Iridium TT PT#ITV20TT 4719 .I have run them in everything . A very nice salesman at AutoZone gave me them at cost for Veterans day! Usually $7.99 Ea. The longest I have run any plug is 30k and these plugs maintained factory set gap with no show of...

2014 Raptor Roush TVS 2300 Install

I know this is an old thread but if your engine isnt flex fuel/E85 rated you will destroy the engine seals, fuel system and probably the engine. At least thats what the manual says. Bill

    DIY 6.2 Spark Plug Change

Make sure you blow the spark plug holes out ,BEFORE, you remove the plugs. Keeps the crap and dirt from falling into the motor. I use to have a small metal tube on the end of my air nozzle that could fit under the plug boot and would help getting it off. Also worked good for getting bicycle and...

Supercharged 6.2 VS Twin Turbo Ecoboost Raptor

What I would like to see is both trucks doing a longevity test with both pushing 650hp. Something like a 500 mile desert race then a follow up with something like the Silver state classic. That would be a definitive answer to what is the best all arounder....Yes? Bill

Thanks I know you guys have an awesome reputation, hence why I purchased from you. I worked 35+ years as a Master Electrician/ Project engineer. I always had to triple check my materials and BOM,s against my orders. One out of spec part could be life or death or the destruction of multimillion...

    First SVT (test) drive

Brakes do suck. Putting truck in tow mode helps with the shifting. The 5 Star tuning maps make all the difference in the world. Typical CAI and Cat Back exhaust help alot too. Ordered R1 brake kit with stainless StopTech lines should cure brake feel. If you are buying it from a dealer make sure...

    Big news for Whipple guys

Im curious if they changed the cams to something with less overlap if you could increase rwhp numbers. To be perfectly honest I really havent read alot about the adjustable timing of the factory cams. Im also wondering if you guys are putting in ARP head studs when you add the supercharges even...

Supercharged 6.2 VS Twin Turbo Ecoboost Raptor

Being an old guy Ive grown up with V8s. I love the sound, just cant help it. Ive built mostly big block Chevys and Pontiacs as in 454,s 455,s. Small blocks were a hell of alot lighter and cheaper to build. Im am amazed how much power these new motors make, how reliable, how fuel efficient. One...
