Yes, I did. And it's wonderful! I haven't noticed any real drawbacks to the sprung under from the typical Deaver+3 over setup I had before. But the rear does perform much better now for big hits. I also went to a bedcage, RPG longer shackles, and longer shocks, so I can't isolate the improvement...
I've only seen custom fabrication. And the best system I've seen is with the bump cans outboard more over the top of the steering knuckle and UCA. Those I've seen impacting the LCA seem to engage too soon and don't offer the full travel benefit or leverage benefit of mounting up top over the...
I'd go with the welded arrangement. With a LT, it'll hold together and keep things aligned better. I suppose I don't Raptor as hard as some. I've gone airborne a bit at events, but not to the extent I've seen in photos/videos.
I'm not full LT built like you're planning, but I've got SDHQ alignment cams and they seem to be holding alignment well so far for me through two TRR events. I mark on them the aligned position so I can quickly visually inspect alignment status. I've got the nicer SDHQ kit...
The SVC LCA is the same width as a stock Raptor LCA. And you don't need to run their upper for the lower to work. The big benefit to the stock length LCA from SVC is the ability to run a secondary bypass shock behind the coilover.
SVC does offer front kits for additional travel that are wider...
So, regarding the compromises with the front SVC kit (3.0+3.5, UCA, LCA, knuckles):
1. You lose turning radius I presume with the front suspension's 3.5 shock and tire clearance on the tire's rear side?
2. On-road firmness - can that be somewhat dialed out with external tube adjustments? I do...
Not sure where you were intending to place the bumps? If you put them in the "stock" location where the original rubber bumps were, you'll lose tons of up-travel. Then, just outboard that are where the leafs tuck up in during compression. Thus, the various systems out on the market hang the...
NOT overkill! I've got 7 XL80s (plus 2 XL Sports) on bumper and 2 XL80s on hood spots. Just means I've got more light than sense. I'd consider these if I had a place to put them. HA!
The top of the uniball doesn't look like theirs - protrudes too high with nut, etc.. The ReadyLift units have a debris cap usually. I picked up a pair CHEAP from the previously referred guy. Although, they may have multiple version.
