I want to say damn unions and lazy ass American workers b/c they’ve destroyed everything else in this once great country, but many of the foreign makers build here now too. The US makers just don’t care, b/c as mentioned, they know they can get away w it for a plethora of reasons. It’s a shame.
That's absurd, my 911 came off an assembly line and this would never pass. I've loved all my F150's and Raptors, but this is unacceptable; even on a $30k car, much less a $110k.
You think they would pass this on the GT's?
Does it have a heated steering wheel?
Bash away, but that's a luxury I'm not giving up. I'd love to pick up a 37 avalanche to go along with my chalk 992.
I wouldn't trust anyone other than Reliable Carriers for a Raptor. I was going to use them from ATL to Chi a few months back and got a pretty reasonable price.
I’m also new to multi link rears, so how do you raise the rear height? I’ve searched all over the web and haven’t been able to determine the specifics.
Is it just a new coil spring? If so, are they more universal on a rear setup than a front?
Exactly - Autos and driving is freedom! What kind of freedom do you have w EV and all the constraints/problems that arise.
There was a great 3 part series worth watching on the History Channel for all you gear heads "The cars that built America". The automobile and the ability to travel and...
@U-235 - What dealer in this terrible state we call IL and unfortunately find ourselves living in? I'm in no rush, I can wait until '22, but won't pay extra.
I'm even seeing $5-$10k markups on Lariats now in IL and MI dealers.
I got a solid quote from givemethevin.com and now radio silence for a few days. Not saying they aren't legit, but does seem a bit odd. I do know there are other members on here who have sold on GMTV, but not sure of their experience.
Not a bad idea . . . I had an order placed for an RS Q8 and was going to give up the raptor and my 991.2. After a few months I just couldn’t give up the 911 and cancelled the RS and placed an order for a new 992.
I'm torn - My new 992 was finally delivered Monday which means the raptor will get next to no use until winter. I bought her new in '17 at first release, all kinds of mods, never had any issues, babied to say the least, only 9500 miles. I love the truck, but hard to pass up $68k.
Leaning...
As brought up earlier in the thread, if the cam phasers fail, is it time or mileage or both?
I have a very early '17 release and just hit 9k miles. I haven't had any issues w her at all - also had a Whipple Ecoboost Stage 1 since about 2 months of purchase.
My baby never sees off road, hell she doesn’t even see rain and snow if I can avoid it, but the brand new 992 sure won’t, so something has to take the fall when necessity calls. To say I’m OCD w my vehicles is an understatement.
Any mods to the front to avoid rubbing?
Def want a mirror set. I’ve been looking for a full replacement carbon set forever - can’t understand why know one makes them.
Would like to see the matte too though before I decide.
What wheels are you running? I like the rear stance you can barely see in the last pic.
Sure would love to have this on my fully loaded ‘17. I got caught in a nasty snow storm this last winter and my washer fluid froze and my wipers. It was so bad I had to pull off and clean the window at a gas station
I had mine stripped and professionally powdered to match the black exterior. Wasn't cheap, but I live in the rust belt and I've read too many threads on here about rust problems.
I’ve had my eye on that, but was concerned on the match if I don’t do the seats too. I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts and the exact turn around time since you have the send your console to them.
