I tried the tankless water heater when they first came out in the early 80's. Went through three units in five years so I gave up on this technology. It was powered by two 220 circuits and cost a small fortune to operate, was for a kitchen sink and a dishwasher only.
I've had the Duraflap fronts on my G1 RaptoR since new(10+yr), they have held up well and won't break the bank. https://duraflap.com/product/15-current-f150-f/
Part of being a DIYer is knowing where to draw the line, some things need to be handled by the professionals. Having the proper tools amd experience are needed to do the job in a timely manner. I don't mind paying for expertise if the job gets done correctly.
Sounds like the R is right there with the Gen 1. My trip to Topeka, Ks and back last week, 5 hr each way. I had a head wind going and a tail wind on the way back, did 5 over on the way there(mostly 80 mph), on the way back did the speed limit(mostly 75). Averaged 11.3 on the way there and 15.6...
I just bought the BL3Z-7A785-B for my 2014 to have just in case and it was only $51.xx shipped. If you can get the AL3Z for a reasonable price I would jump on it otherwise get the BL3Z and make it work. These things are becoming obsolete so you don't have much choice.
If this is for home use mostly I recomend the low profile 3 ton long reach jack and the 6 ton jackstands from harbor freight. https://www.harborfreight.com/3-ton-long-reach-low-profile-professional-floor-jack-with-rapid-pump-orange-64241.html
I guess you won't be posting about strange noises coming from somewhere on the Raptor, that's one less bingo slot for you. Hearing loss can be a curse or a blessing, depends on how one looks at it and what range it's in. I'm 75 and my wife is convinsed that I just can't hear the female voice...
I'm curious about needing a relay since all the upfitter circuits have relays from the factory. I've had my lights installed for 10+ years and I did not add relays, just used the pass thru wires and they work. What am I not understanding here?
Something else to check is the 13mm nut on the end of the front axles under the dust cap, they can back off and let the axle move in and out in the IWE.
I like it when someone figures out how to do a job outside the norm and it can save a ton of money. I'm glad that I don't mess with changing this setting on my havac.
Here is my writeup from when I did this mod. https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/utilizing-the-fog-lamp-circuit-to-add-headlight-switch-with-fog-illumination.86427/
