Yea. That tight fit pit a lot of stress on things. some have the rubber stops replaced, or shave them down

This is common. it is usually not the actuator or anything electrical related. the rubber stops on the tailgate can swell and apply too much pressure on the tailgate. Causing the latch to get “stuck” as it can’t overcome that pressure.

There isn’t any issues with that! lots of customers install my kit with a hidden switch! Any 12VDC signal to the Relay through the UPFITTER wire will trigger the tailgate. but, just be aware. The tailgate release won’t function when the vehicle in motion more than 2mph, or while the power...
