I did all the numbers well before I ordered my 17 801a Raptor.
The resale values on previous years Raptors were from 20% to 50% higher than a very well equipped F150 like King Ranch.
I think the G2 Raptor will do similar numbers regardless of the G2 Ecoboost V6 (which has proven to be a great...
The primary reason for my post was to signify my surprise as to the trucks immediate reaction when switched to Weather Mode. It sure seemed to me like something was not working right or binding up when it was engaged. I had my doubts that I could have even maintained my speed (65) while in that...
I just tried weather mode with mine today when I was driving in blowing snow - still had good traction though.
I was running 65 MPH at the time and towing a 4k trailer. The truck immediately started slowing down and felt like I was pulling 20k rather than 4! Stepping harder and harder on the...
They are nice trucks. We’ll probably just use the Jeep Rubicon Unlimited to see how that does. With a track width more than 13” narrower than the Raptor, it should do better on the narrow stuff...

Seems pretty simple to me.
I don’t believe that Ford has equipped our LED headlight mounts with auto-level. I’ve only seen that feature with vehicles that have HID lights.
Can’t tell you if they are the same or not, but just measured my track width from the outside of the rear tread and it was 7’ 1.5”..... Stock tires and wheels.
Thanks for your note..
It may seem like it, but many times that few inches extra clearance would be all it takes.
We try to not damage or otherwise alter any desert foliage by sticking to the trails with the vehicles. We are there to explore and observe - much of which is done on foot after we...
As the owner of a small Fab Shop, kudos to you for not showing all of Desert Labs work. We all have families to feed and take pride in our work.
A very innovative solution was developed here.
I’m curious if you take your Raptor into places / areas that you could not take an FX4 into?
I take...
No issues with my ARE Z-series either... The paint match was not perfect, but I did not have the time to raise heck about it and follow through with getting it redone.
ETrailer said that the Timbren SES for our trucks has not yet started shipping from Timbren. Pricing from RealTruck looks like $215.
As soon as they're out, I'll be buying...
No info on them yet... I looked at them too. $500 is a lot closer to my wallet tolerance than the others out there...
Is anyone making knock-offs of the Rigid Radience cubes?
Oh yeah - and if you look at the minimal changes between 17-18, that might be an indicator that there won't be anything major for a while anyway...
I seriously doubt that they will ever bring back the V8 in this truck. The boosted V6 has got so much development money and time that it will carry...
I'd get the 801a for Sync3 and a few other goodies that will help resale value.
Oh yea and I would get the leather interior and then install Carhartt seat covers over them to help with the heat and wear issues - again - this will help your resale value down the road.
Well, that's what I did...
I guess you won't be buying one then...
It's a Jeep thing. If I had to explain it all to you, you wouldn't get it anyway...
In all seriousness, it's a good little full-framed truck and with 285hp weighing in at under 3800#, it's not fast, but neither is it slow.
We like it - and frankly...
Might have something to do with longer front control arms which also contribute to the wider track - then ilfting the entire truck ~3"... I could be wrong though...
