This happened to me about an hour ago and the noise lasted for about 15 minutes. 2021 with 10k miles on it. No problems like this ever before today. It started about a minute after I drove off and the sound wouldn't shut off no matter what. I did the Power Button + FFW button reset and it didnt'...
My truck had a weight distributing hitch on it when towing the Airstream. It towed the RV just fine, but the rear ended sagged like crazy. That’s just how this truck is.
Thanks. And I just solved my towing problem. I hope to use this to pull that trailer down from Alaska as far as California the spring. That's my dream plan, anyway.
But doesn't Borla make the stock exhausts for Ford? I remember reading that somewhere when I bot a Borla Type S exhaust for my Gen 2. I loved the sound and it held up great.
Gotta keep the Tremor package trucks scarce so they can justify sticking with those $15k markups. The new norm for the auto industry seems to be that if you want to get any kind of vehicle besides a plain, vanilla model, you're going to have to pay through the nose to get it.
I think the loaded weight is 7,300lbs and the tongue weight is a little over 800lbs. I also had a 65lb generator and a small gas grill in the bed of the truck, plus some gear in the back seat, so I was most likely a bit overweight.
I'm starting to come to the realization that this just isn't...
Yep, I caught that right after I posted it. The fact that it showed "up to mid '22" threw me off since my Gen 3 is a 2021.
I deleted my original post, so for anyone who is confused, this is what we're talking about...
This is with a 25 foot Airstream trailer. I plan to either ad airbags or use a different vehicle of some sort this year. This saggy rear end is just unacceptable. If I could fix this issue, the truck would be perfect, so I'm hoping to find a good airbag solution before summer.
Oh, what's the rush. It's only for one of the most popular trucks on the road and would fix the only real flaw in the vehicle, which is the fact that the ass end sags like crazy when you tow a decent sized trailer. We're already into the 3rd year of production of the Gen 3, so maybe they'll have...
A set of mudflats on the front would do wonders for you. Without them, if you drive through one small puddle, you wind up with a big streak of water/dirt shooting up the side of your truck at a 45° angle.
Hooray! I have my truck. Gotta be one of the last 2021's to get delivered this year. Anyway, I'm happy to have it and relieved that the long wait is over. Got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic in what ended up being a 2 hour drive home. So I got to experiment and use the adaptive cruise control...
Ugg....This last bit of waiting is the hardest part. Anyway, I heard the truck might have arrived in town, so I decided to take a drive down by the shipping yards near the port and spotted my truck almost immediately. It's already loaded up on a vehicle hauler, so maybe I'll have it by the...
Huh? How can this technology offend you in any way? It allows you to have the brightest lights possible and uses technology to automatically dim those lights and prevent them from blinding oncoming traffic. And you don't have to do a thing.
From my understanding, it's like having your brights on, but the headlights can switch off certain zones so that it won't aim any lights at oncoming cars as they pass by. Then those zones switch back on again after the car has passed.
Kind of off on a tangent, but interesting. I guess a number of Class C motorhome factories are shut down now because they can't get F450's from Ford due to a missing windshield wiper module. Ford isn't allowed to ship the F450 to them until it's considered a "complete vehicle" which means all...
I've got an ETA to the dealership now of Mid-May. They expect my truck to make it to the port of Seattle by the 10th and then they have another 10 days to get it up to Anchorage. I'm hoping these are worst case scenarios and that my truck shows up in a week or so. It shoes as "shipped" 8 days ago.
I've owned all sorts of foreign and domestic trucks, cars and SUV's and I can honestly say that buying a new Raptor was my least enjoyable vehicle purchasing experience. Both times. And I paid $5k over each time when the dealer was adamant that every Raptor must be marked up by $15k. It is what...
That, or they're lying. People do it all the time. "I walked in there and told them I'm only willing to pay $150 over invoice and what do you know, they folded and took my offer! That's how I buy cars!"
Woohoo! After 2 straight months of checking the status on my incoming 2021 Raptor, it just now moved to "In Transit." Yay!
The dealership originally ordered the truck last July 9th and it went into production on 11/02/21. It shows a "Built" date of 12/18/21, but there was never a checkmark next...
