There is a way to permanently disable the feature, but it does come with a few other annoyances. If you plug in a trailer light tester (some of them can be small/unobtrusive) the auto off feature will be disabled during every key cycle.
However, now the truck will think there is a trailer...
The transmission is covered 5 years/60 thousand miles so you can take it in to Ford to have that addressed. The belt is not going to be covered by Ford. You'd have to call roush to see if they can help.
There are no Gen2s sitting at our dealership. Every one that has come in has had an owner before arrival. When it gets here we clean it, process it, and the owner drives it off the lot the next day!
Assuming your truck is stock, there is no benefit of running anything above 87. This was just discussed in a very lengthy thread.

I cant speak for all trucks, depending on assembly dates/locations, I don't if they all came with the same wastegate or not. The truck we are working on was vacuum originally. Codes present are: P0244:00-A8- (PCM) - Turbo/Super
Charger Wastegate Solenoid A Range/Performance and
P25B4:00-A8-...
I did a little more research and it looks like Ford has seen this problem, the trucks come with a vacuum operated wastegate and they have an updated wastgate that will now be controlled electronically via the PCM. So that will require an update as well.
There is no benefit of running higher octane gas if the engine does not require it. Do a quick google search and you will see a dozen studies that prove this. You're wasting your money.
Yes, tell them everything! Do a thorough walk around of your truck and make a list of any fluid leaks (even if very very small). Note any electrical hiccups you have ever experienced even if they are no longer on going. Leaking power steering is common. The dealership is not technically...
I recommend the same thing to customers, if you're having no issues with your sync, don't bother updating. You will see no difference to your sync and are wasting your money by paying us to update it. If you're having an issue, that's a different story.
Yes, I am talking about on the same axle. I run 37s on my truck and want to keep my 35 in spare under the bed for a rainy day. Outside of traction control and abs being really confused and triggering some lights, I can't foresee any mechanical concerns that would arise over a short drive...
