I had the 18 set up to off road. I had added the SDI Eclick system and Eibach springs in the front. The biggest upgrade was the Wilwood brake kit. I think I miss that the most. Will upgrade the brakes on this truck in the near future. Want to get a few miles out of the stock setup first. Also...
Decided to upgrade from a 2018 to a 2023 37pp. Figured it was about time to post a picture of the new truck here in the Gen 3 section. Still miss the 2018 as I had it dialed in.
I picked up the wilwoods from Hammerbuilt for my Gen 2 and they made a huge difference. My wife did not like driving the truck in traffic with the stock setup but once the Wilwoods were installed she took the truck to Los Angeles for a work trip with zero complaints. The wilwoods just work better.
Never realized how controversial EVs were. I would never buy a Cyber Truck in particular but would consider a commuter EV if gas gets to the point where it is unaffordable or worse ratione. Till then I’m keeping a Raptor and a ZL1 Camaro for daily driving.
My truck had 50,080 when this was completed. Seems once it hit 50,000 it just wanted to go to the dealership. i just had an oil leak repaired a week prior to this. They replaced the rear main seal for that. No proble since
I just had the cam phasers replaced on my truck today. Service advisor said everything was covered under an emission warranty and I paid nothing out of pocket. It was a nice surprise for me anyhow. Good Luck with your repair.
Good Luck on your warranty covering the repair. My 2018 just started with the cam phaser rattle on startup this past week. My warranty is supposed to be good through February of 24 so am planning to try and make an appointment next week for it. The hope is they can get it in and diagnosed...
Planning on pulling the skid plates on Saturday and cleaning the lower end of the truck really well. I will try and get some photos and see if I can determine if there is a leak where it is coming from. If no leak cleaning should be able to take care of it. Thanks for all the advice.
I picked up the truck late yesterday, brought it home and parked it in the garage. They did such a great job that it now has oil coming from two locations instead of just the one. Think I am going to find myself a new dealership to see if they can fix it. Starting to think that maybe I should...
I was a bit surprised at the rear main seal as well. I thought it was more like the plastic pan leaking again. Only took it to the dealer for the warranty aspect. Warranty runs out in Feb so wanted to get it fixed before that happened. Never expected it to take 2 weeks though. Thank you for...
Thanks for the reply. They tell me that the truck will be ready on Monday. Of course I had to stop at the dealership and speak to the service advisor since they don't seem capable of answering any calls.
I dropped my 2018 off at the dealership for an oil leak on Monday October 30th. Dealer tells me it is the rear main seal and they expect the repair will take 4 to 5 days. Here we are on November 10th and I have no word from the dealer. Only took it to them as it was covered under extended...
I have seen more units on the lots recently. Although with my location in CA they are still asking 10K over MSRP. They do seem to be sitting on the lots for a bit longer though. Best of luck on your order.
I recommend the Wilwood kit for sure. I just finished installing the kit on the front and they are a huge improvement over stock brakes and fit under the stock 17 inch wheels. Was able to get the kit from Hammer Performance as part of the early buy. Highly recommend those guys as well.
I would go back to the stock airbox and see if the mileage goes back up. I just run the stock oem filter on my truck so not much help in that department.
What are the dimensions on these? Never mind I just learned to read. I meant to ask what is the approximate weight and will they fit in the bed of the truck under a bed cover?
My nephew recently purchased the Badlands jack. He purchased the Grove Fabworks mount and a plate from JDS customs that the mount bolts to. The plate from JDS customs used the right middle and right rear bed bolts and all bolted up nicely.
OP still owns the Gen 2 with the issue. He just broke down and purchased a new Raptor as well. I believe the intent will be to sell the Gen 2 once the repair is complete.
I noticed a huge improvement with Deaver +2 and SDI E-click when I had that installed at a little over 42K miles. Of course I was upgrading a 2018 so first time with live valves as well as the springs.
