When using ACC the truck definitely applies the brakes for you, and it will brake hard if necessary. I've experienced this more than once, when my foot was not even touching the brake pedal. That said, in my 2017 Raptor, ACC won't apply the brakes if I am on the gas. This is a good thing in my...
Mine is at the dealer now for this issue. I'm thankful I have a loaner, as it sounds like it's going to be at least a week before I get the Raptor back.
For reference, mine is a 2017 with 25k miles.
Side note: I have a 2019 F150 XLT as a loaner. The interior trim is pretty basic, but the V8...
I agree. I have an iPhone and almost never use CarPlay. I stream audio over Bluetooth all the time, but I don’t always want to be plugged in and the lack of support for Waze and other aps makes it pretty pointless as far as I’m concerned.

Awesome. Thanks for the details! I’ve been dirt biking there a few times, but haven’t been exploring up there with the Raptor yet. I live close by, so it should be easy to make a midweek trip to avoid the crowds. What I’d really like to find is some good dunes not too far from here.

How do tire shops verify lug nut torque, if at all? I’ve never anyone at a tire shop pull out a torque wrench. I’ve only ever seen them use a pneumatic impact wrench. Do they somehow calibrate their setup to some universal torque value? Are they wingin’ it and counting “ugger duggers”?

At least your order was pulled and manufactured quickly. My truck took just over 6 months from the time I placed the order to the time I picked up the truck. Hopefully they’ll get it all squared away for you promptly, and you’ll have your truck in no time. This truck is worth the wait.

This is absolutely true, but I’d like to add that adaptive cruise will only brake if the driver is NOT on the gas.
The truck will absolutely let you drive into the vehicle in front of you, whether using adaptive cruise control or not.

I’ve heard this before and it makes good sense. That’s said, I saw a large dump truck a few weeks back that was covered in blue LEDs. He was part of a convoy of maybe 20 other trucks, and stood out like a sore thumb. The crazy part was that they were working on a large roadwork / bridge project...
Plus hotels, plus food, plus some sort of value placed on your time...
Don’t get me wrong, I’d totally make the drive. I bought mine in TX and drove it back to SoCal, and I’d do it all over again. All I’m just saying is that I wouldn’t do it for financial reasons. I did it for the adventure and...
Aside from disabling the stop start, I also find the throttle response much better in sport mode. I do like that normal mode shifts more smoothly, but compared to sport mode it feels like I have to stand on the gas pedal to get anything out of it.

I’d hold out for the truck you ordered. No sense in paying for a moonroof that you’ll always be worried about cracking and stickers that you’ll be removing. I don’t have anything against the leadfoot color, I think it’s great, but I’m assuming you prefer black since that’s what you originally...
Are you getting it serviced at the dealer you purchased it from? If so, it makes sense. I didn’t buy my truck from my local dealer because, well, I live in Southern California so...
When I took it there for service recently they looked at me like I had two heads when I asked about a loaner...
Maybe it’s just me, but I think if I sent out a mayday like this I’d be more inclined to come back and provide some follow up.

I’ve experienced the same thing. Shortly after picking up my truck, I took a road trip to the rainy Pacific Northwest. I saw that same fault message two or three times while I was there, as it rained a lot. It seemed like light rain was fine, but each time I saw the message it was moderate to...
I think the real question is what level of forensics is performed when there is an engine issue. I would think most guys would simply remove the tune before taking it in, correct? In the cases you’re referring to, did the owner take their truck in with the tune installed?
