Matched fenders make the Raptor look too much like a plain F-150. Fenders are part of its unique look. I personally like the high contrast, which is why I'm not a big fan the magnetic Raptor as a whole, even though I like the paint color on its own. If you want less contrast, you could take...
I used a magnetic ball mount system designed for a phone. Works great. Put it right under trailer control. I can see and easily adjust while driving. I also used adhesive cable clips to tuck cable out of the way.

Are you accidentally hitting the paddles while in automatic or the manual buttons on gear shift?
While in auto, one paddle can be used to lock out gears. The other paddle puts them back. When on 10, the left paddle can be tapped to make numbers disappear from display or put them back.
I tend...
I totally love this thing. I've never used it or a similar product before, but it has made a huge improvement on the stock driving. I like a responsive throttle (not always aggressive). I found Raptor Normal mode pretty horrible before the PC.
For me, City +1 is a great set it and forget...
Just did all this...
Have dealer mail title to CA DMV. DMV will send it to lien holder after title is transferred to CA. Have dealer give you copy of title, not official but good to have. Get smog inspection and get car weighed by certified CA weighmaster. Have truck empty and low on gas...
Not when I'm looking at it... Seriously that always messes me up when people talk left vs. right side, I never know if its from a passenger perspective or looking at the truck.
Left Side Front Plate Install
I decided to mount the factory front mounting plate to the left side.
1. Cut off rear hooks/clips with a hacksaw.
2. Held plate on bumper and marked where I wanted to install it.
3. Drilled two holes to fit factory issued pop rivets.
4. Rivet the front...
Let me know if you find them. I don't want to pull it off if I can't get it back on, but I need to mount a front license plate to the left side and I can't do it properly without removing the insert.
Does anyone know if there's anything behind the left side? I know the right has adaptive...
Not at my truck now, hard to explain. I had the same fight. At some point I realized after pulling red tab up, you still need to squeeze the plug in a certain place to get the internal clips to release. I fought with the thing for like 20 minutes, thought I was doing something wrong, then all of...
That's good news. I was hoping so. I gave a few firm tugs the other day and it didn't budge. Got nervous there were bolts somewhere on the other end and didn't want to break it.

How is this removed? I need to take this off to install a left side front license plate mount. I'm hoping I don't have to remove the whole bumper.

You mean you used to hook everyone up at the dealership?
Next, be sure to put your ADM on all the popular wheels.

You've engaged a feature that wants to restrict modes... 4 wheel low, valet mode, some towing mode?
I would start checking all the other settings, buttons and switches and I bet you find something is tripped.

I think there has been a lot of overreaction in this thread. I am actually thankful to the manufacturer and both vendors for providing a level of transparency not often found with most companies. And frankly, the reactions here are why most vendors and manufacturers release zero information...
Is this argument really happening?
Gen 2 guy here, never owned a Gen 1, and sorry those bumpers are ugly. Initial comments were mostly constructive and liked the idea of a DIY bumper but suggested not using those designs. OP derailed his own thread. It's actually such a blatant overreaction I...
No cutting and don't just pull. Gas pedal has a clip in plug. There's a red button/tab you have to pull up on a kinda squeeze a certain way to release the clip on the plug before pulling open the plug. Don't just yank it or you will break the clip. I had to fiddle a bit til I found the trick...
