Hidy thar, yungun! No-sir. Hi-every, I do know the swill-guzzlin', fartin', redneck-Canuckistanian yer a-talkin' 'bout, aight. I lern't the feller this hyur High Bubba speak yer currently a-ganderin'. I'm "dewserb" on the other forum.
THAT makes more sense. However, that's not exactly what you said the first time. Lol. Hence, my confusion. FWIW, I absolutely know how it works.
I'm glad you enjoyed the hillbilly bit. Reckon I gots me a fer sight more whur thet comed from, aight! Lol
See, that makes absolutely zero dang sense to me.
"Howdy, Bubba! How's yer test Raptor a-runnin' with all them fancy one-off parts? "
"Why howdy that, Cletus! Everthang be a-workin' jist fine! We'll tell ol' Horace in production to start makin' em up with completely differ'nt parts...
Meh. I've had good luck with "first year" models. No worries there. What makes me think this is nothing but a rumor is the fact that they've had dozens of prototype, R&D units out there for a couple of years now. Why is it suddenly an issue?
I never said it's bad to have an opinion or that they shouldn't be voiced. Furthermore, I never said my opinion shouldn't be voiced. The gist of my post was this: I find it silly that folks will condemn the entire platform solely based upon sound, and you have to admit there's a lot of that...
You won't catch me saying anything negative about the first generation Raptor. In fact, you won't catch me hating on any Ford trucks. When Ford comes out with something innovative, cool, and new that performs great, I've always been excited to see it and happy for prospective owners, even if...
I swear... Some people's yunguns!
It's simply mind boggling to me that anyone with any logical sense would let something as silly as "sound" have any bearing on their decision about a vehicle (whether they like it, would buy it, etc). It can't be that there are this many illogical, irrational...
Y'all who don't like the sound: Don't worry. You'll be far enough behind it that you won't be able to hear it. Lol

By the way, Chris's FX4 has an exhaust video that looks and sounds like a better...
I believe the guy who told you that was either lying or is crippled too high for crutches. Job 1 for the REGULAR 2017 F150s hasn't come up yet. No way their, or anyone else's, Raptor is built.
Depending upon the destination, frequency of deliveries to your dealership, etc... It varies. Based upon my conversations with FP, my guess would be a couple of weeks.
Thinking about doing the same. I have a set of 20" Fuel Savage wheels, but I've been chastised for even considering a 20" wheel on a Raptor.
Build week = the week it's scheduled to build.
Build date = the date it's scheduled to build.
Fancy, huh?
And lots of guys (myself included) are getting build DATES. I just haven't seen any ETAs yet. According to the Atlanta Regional Manager, there is no hold for OKTB.
By the way, it...
More than likely, it'll be completed the same day it's started. After that, it's just a matter of waiting for the freight route to be built up so they can ship your truck with other vehicles on a full hauler. I'd guess a couple of weeks.
I'd say the dealer reused the order number for multiple builds. Ford has a difficult time seeing the correct (current) build when this is the case. I'd hit up FP. They'll have that info for you.
You're on deck! What color?

Also, was yours a dealer allocation or retail order?
Aha! I think I know what's going on here. You buy from the same dealership, right? So a guy buys multiple, high-dollar vehicles from a dealership, dealership asks Zone Manager to push ahead because of same.
