Passenger side low beam stopped working this AM. Took it apart this afternoon and all connections are solid , it started working again about an hour into my 2 hour drive home. I am pretty sure I'm going to send them back.
They're aimed properly in the truck, I covered up the lows and highs and aimed everything independently. I have a fleet of big rigs and know how to aim headlights.
I compare these to the $200 (each) replacement JW Speaker LED lights in my Kenworths and they absolutely crush these Morimotos in...
Yes those supports, I originally was going to leave them on the OEM LEDs , I assumed they would be needed to install my OEMs on a truck with halogens if I sold them.
I just checked, and yes I'm getting pure static with the low beams on.
We went hunting with my truck again yesterday and the...
Just thought I'd give my review of these in case anyone else is considering them.
They're well built, good looking lights. The install isn't very hard, no special tools required. I had factory LED so these were plug and play, and I put about 45k miles on the originals so I'm pretty familiar...
Switzer finally posted a video, not sure how to link it but check their last post. Holy shit she wants to get down !

This is gonna be a blast to drive, no more falling on its face above 5k rpm. It'll make these paddle shifters worth using.
The "who cares about gas mileage , it's an $xxx, xxx car" line always crack me up. You really can't understand why people like to get more for their money ? Wow, you must be Bill Gates rich bro!
Kind of like the people who say, " it's a truck, who cares about 1/4 mile times?". Some people like...
Dude can you apply to be a mod here?
IMO the best car forums are run like a playoff NHL game, bang hard but draw the line right before it becomes a problem or there's continuous griefing. It's entertaining with plenty of fighting, but there is still some semblance of order.
FRF is more...
Nice!
Not many people know this but the F150's use the truck's rear brakes to eliminate trailer sway, the system works pretty well and makes a big difference vs a Ram.
Switzer has their new turbos in the test truck! In the comments he mentions they are customized Gen 2 Garretts but doesn't say how big.
Update on our 2017 Ford Raptor project:
So far everything is coming together very well. The new turbochargers are fitted.
All of the intake and intercooler...
Good luck with the new truck but if you think you're guaranteed better off with a diesel you're in for a rude awakening. I have a bunch of 6.7L Superduties including a '17 F-350 I picked up last week. Emission systems have significantly hurt diesel reliability, my business has everything ranging...
Hey guys, if you have a squeek check your leaf spring retainers. On my drivers side pack, the bigger one just behind the rear axle isn't centered and rubs on the side of the leafs, even though it has a plastic wear piece. If you run a flatbar or something wide and flat in you can bend it away so...
3:36 am... you're putting in 24 hour shifts here now? :ROFLJest:
I can't even pay my employees to have the dedication to their work that you have to this cause. Too funny my dude!
Don't worry, the Ecoboost HO is a great engine. Our resident troll doesn't even have a G2, just likes to spend his days here and misguide people because of some deep seeded jealousy or maybe mental illness. The moderation is non-existent on FRF these days so there's nothing you can do about it...
Not that much likely. There's kits out for the previous EcoBoost and they're like $2300 -2500. Throw in the Raptor tax and even at $3k + the cost of a tune and intercooler, it'd be a smoking deal to add 150-200 rwhp.
We shouldn't have the fueling issues of the previous gen and hopefully the...
Wow, that looks great, the clearance is awesome vs the no-cut bumpers.
BTW, the truck would look even better if the intercooler was blacked out. I know efficiency suffers slightly but that shiny rectangle brings back memories of 90's JDM and makes the whole front look too busy.
Downpipes will usually be worth 10-30 rwhp even on stock turbos if you have a tune, depending on engine size and if you go offroad or high-flow. The exhaust, I've been around the TT AMG scene for a while and the performance increase from doing it is usually next to nil.
PS, if you can do some...
The only deal breaker is the camper , otherwise the G2 Raptor is better in every way than a 15/16 Superduty, or 17 Superduty.
Having owned multiple Superduty's and Rams , I love them for their purposes as a work truck but there is a huge difference if your are daily driving.
If you can settle...
Unsprung mass is especially important for offroad vehicles no matter how much they weigh, arguably much more so than street cars. It's about dealing with uneven surfaces, especially while turning.
Your suspension can keep your tires in contact with the ground better as the mass it is...
