Not an auction vehicle, it's a new, not previously owned truck? I'd be curious as to what flagged the issues or if the repairs were proactive/preventative measures.
Just tried that - got the runaround and directed to www.fordshowparts.com. Talked with them and THEY don't have the stickers, don't sell them, but she knew exactly what I was talking about (however, they were glad to try and sell me a copy of the original window sticker and certificate of...
It will try to expand with temperature increase in a closed system, which your tires pretty much are...the only result you will see is the pressure increasing on heating - the tires would otherwise balloon up in size if the volume wasn't fixed by the structural integrity of the tire. Nitrogen...
Hah! No worries - I've just got a graduate degree in chemistry and worked in big pharma, manufacturing, and in analytical chemistry for over 20 years...
CO2, high temperatures, a little water, aluminum - now you've potentially got hydrogen gas, too! CO2 is reactive (the opposite of inert)...
Update SYNC2 or update the Navigation maps? Updates to SYNC are available through the ford owners site:
https://owner.ford.com
Download the SYNC update (it seems to be VIN specific), the latest and likely the last is v3.10. Copy only the three following folders/files to your FAT32 formatted...
Agree! Mathematically 3.5 > 3.10...but unfortunately that's not how they use their designations. Patch shows up as v3.10 on the Ford Owner site after I uploaded the *.xml file for verification. The update claims that it does contain all of the intermediate updates, so that makes sense...
Reviving an old thread...Just checked my SYNC installation after reading this thread and found that I have version 3.5. Was told by Ford that v3.10 was the latest version available for my truck (by VIN) available and downloaded the update, which indicated it was v3.10. File was EA5T-14D544-BA...
Replaced rear brakes and pads with R1 Geomet slotted/drilled rotors and Posi-Quiet pads. Replaced the entire parking brake assembly (MA truck, everything was rusted/frozen - pivots were completely frozen; fortunately the backing shields were in good shape); installed Russell Speedbleeders...
Tasca Parts has generally been my go-to for OEM, but I always compare to my local Ford dealer for competitive pricing. Shipping from Tasca or any of the others can be pretty high sometimes and more than offset any savings just buying it locally with taxes added. My local dealer sells...
Ruger - I was surprised at how many shops now do this kind of work. There were at least two within 10 minutes of my home. They do small jobs like this and big ones.
Looks like B&M pulled their YouTube video of the install. I'm thinking of going the route of laser-etching the marks on the dipstick instead of the "saw-blade marking" presented by B&M.
Look through the series of photos - they are the oem exhaust tips cleaned up and refinished.
The Ford Performance tips are distinctly different:

The link shows the tips, refinished. Really did a great job and looks outstanding. Might be able to get a set from forum members. Wouldn't buy new - if you like the raspy sound these are the ticket. I replaced mine with the Ford Performance tips and it attenuates the exhaust raspiness nicely...
