Small problem with the thought for charging those two 75 AH deep cycle batteries. You would have to let your truck run the whole charge cycle. Sorry for the bad news but trying to charge two deep cycle batteries off your one non deep cycle battery just won't work. It is like trying to hook...
Interesting I have never seen that kind of failure in a spark plug. I have a 2005 5.4 f150 and have went thru 2 spark plug changes on that vehicle. What kind of plugs are those? On second hand I took a closer look at those plugs, OEM? Unusual the electrode would fail that way. Almost looks...
Find out when or if shocks have been rebuilt, check 4WD and listen for popping-snapping, IWES are a weak spot, look under driver door for damage to wire harness at that location; common mods are tune of some kind, exhaust "preferably stainless steel", CAI, if you plan on off roading and putting...
Search the appropriate forum sections. Exhaust, engine performance, et. al. for the mods you are considering. Yes there will be lots of reading but you are not the first and what you learn will be worth the time and your hard earned $$$
Interesting you mention that the picture is reversed. As what should be left is right and vice versa. That is an indication the processor is not handling the signal correctly. In a purely analog system," think old CRT tube tv's" signals are processed from top to bottom left to right. A gun...
I would look for damage in the wiring harness from previous 4 wheeling. Common spot is drivers side by front door. Hangs low at that spot. Sounds like poor signal and the processor is having trouble with it. Explains the poor picture and blanking you are seeing.
Define flashing, picture then no picture, until image degrades. Or picture then white screen/black screen? FYI I am unsure of this trucks system but there are basically two types of imagining systems. Analog and digital. I suspect the systems in these trucks is analog and not the best...
Jabron the PC does two things. It provides multiple slope and intercept changes to throttle response. If you are not technically inclined, the the romper room version is mush pedal further. It also eliminates delay that the ECU implemented to make driving safer for your everyday John or Jane...
I have to wonder how much more that powertrain platform can be pushed. Has ford engineered it close to its max? Bigger turbos and what else breaks? Versus the 6.2 which in my opinion has a fair bit left in it if one cares to put the money in it.
100 K and still going strong. First owner had issue with brakes from a lack of care. They would not move fully and it screwed the rotors and calipers up. He had them all replaced and promptly sold it to me. Had minor issue with fan controller failure. Nothing major and still loving it.
Very good news indeed. A positive attitude makes a big difference in recovery. It sounds like the young man can meet adversity very well. He should have a full and successful life.
