WTB 13-14 Raptor: what to look for?

Cowboy has posted a pretty good list of things to check. You can get a genuine ford ESP even after the 3/36k through Troy Ford(google troy ford ESP) you just have to pay to have the truck inspected at a dealership. I just got done extending mine to a 8/125. Yay for no out of pocket repairs till...

    Front end clunk

What would you say the first culprit would be with such low miles? I live in a rural area and the roads aren't the best out here and the clunking is driving me absolutely nuts! It sound like a lower ball joint would if it were going out in any other car... I guess I'll start there? I have had 2...

    Front end clunk

I'm completely stock with only 33k miles and I have noticed a increase in the clunking as I've put more miles on the truck. It's noticeably worse in cold weather as well. Very interested in finding out if it's the LCA bushings and if the Moogs work!!

Stock BFG's wear pattern and noise

I had really bad wear and cupping on my stock BFGs as well, on the inside AND the outside just like yours. When I noticed it I had the tires rotated more regularly and it didn't help at all. My stocks only made it to 29k miles as well. I had the truck aligned at the dealer(long story short they...

Time for tires. ATZ P3s or Ridge Grapplers?

I have the Ridge Grapplers on methods and I absolutely love them! Coming from severely worn and cupped stock BFGs to these made a huge ride improvement. They're not loud at all, smooth highway driving and haven't had any issues in mud/snow/ice/rain. I've had them on the truck for around 3k miles.

GEN 1 Need some advice. :/

Grills look awesome but be smart and do not do blue or red or expect to get hassled by cops for "impersonating a emergency vehicle" don't ask me how I know.... Lol

    Diminished Value claim

I'd guess if your truck valued at $47k before the accident you'd be lucky to get 20-25k in 2 years on a trade in. If you were to put it on the market right after repairs were done I'd say 35k would be the starting point. I know accidents severely limit your market, on a already limited market...

    I didn't know i was joining a Raptor "gang"

I had a vette before my raptor and it was the same way. Always a nice wave or a light flash no matter the gen of vette it was. I think cars who carry this kind of culture with them are the best to be a part of.

    Raptor Friendly Toy Haulers?

Take a look at Keystone toy haulers. I have 2011 energy and love it! It is right at the max for the raptor when fully loaded but I'm ok with that. Specially since my brother just bought a 15 Duramax so I make him haul it and I tow the toys lol! It has Great build quality and it looks like some...

    Raptor Friendly Toy Haulers?

I don't think that cargo room is to the first cabinet, 153" is 12.5 feet long and if you look at the actual pictures the benches butt right up against the first cabinet and are definitely not 12.5 feet long. You'd be able to lay 2 people feet to head on 1 bench if that were the case which the...

    Raptor Friendly Toy Haulers?

The problem is neither of those models would be able to fit a RZR which is what I have so I guess I should of said that I couldn't find a front walk around queen while also having enough room for a RZR. Looks like those models only have enoug cargo room for dirt bikes or quads.

Post Your Wheel and Tire Pics !

WOW! If this is true I may have to get 37s. I wanted to go to 37s but I am not willing to hammer the pinch welds at all. What kind of springs did you go to? What's the specs of your wheels??

Post Your Wheel and Tire Pics !

Did you have to hammer the pinch welds at all?!? I was to understand that even at mid perch you had to hammer the pinch welds to fit 37's even with a stock +35 offset....

    Help a Noob Out

Most Bro truck mall crawlers run rockstar rims, so its really just a opinion since Rockstar rims are made by the same company as KMC. Good quality wheels, my good friend works for the company and I've had several sets of XD wheels and never had an issue. If you want rockstar wheels go for it man!

New nitto hybrid tire coming soon

Jealous of the 37's. Definitely think these are in contention for my new tires. I'm debating between these and toyo MT or RTs. I think these look a little more aggressive than the RTs. i'll have to see if I can find some place local that has them in stock to check out in person!

    Raptor Friendly Toy Haulers?

I think a front walk around bed is out of the question for a raptor friendly toy hauler. In my search for mine all the trailers with front sleepers and walk around beds were 30+ feet long and weighed over 8K dry. You may be able to find one though, i just never came across any when I was looking...

New guy with a few towing mod questions!

I understand this. The tongue weight is significantly reduced when loaded. All toy haulers have higher tongue weights to account for rear load. once loaded the weight drops to 750lbs as verified by my tongue weight gauge, well within the trucks limits. :waytogo:

New guy with a few towing mod questions!

Some of the other guys have touched on it, but from everything I've read the reasoning behind the lower tow rating VS the regular F150 tow rating of 10,700LBS is the soft suspension. The frame, brakes, driveline, ect isn't the reason for the lower weight. So I'd assume that if you took a raptor...

Looks good, kinda hard to see all the detail in the pics but I may have to check these out in person. Interested to see what you think of them driving wise after a couple hundred miles!

Get them mounted up yet? Really interested to see how they look!

    Raptor Friendly Toy Haulers?

The 7x20 model is really light but not enough cargo room for a new RZR so he'd have to get the 8.5x24 if he was looking to fit one of them. The 8.5x24 has a nice dry weight but the hitch weight of 1030lbs is insane! You'd have to load it to tow with a raptor or you're going to be on the bump...

    Raptor Friendly Toy Haulers?

I don't think you'll find a toy hauler with all your wants. I myself was looking for one with a front bedroom that was also capable of fitting a new RZR(109" long) and everything that I found was in the 7,000lbs dry weights. The front bedroom seems to really add a lot of weight to the trailer. I...

    Southwest AZ Owners

Unfortunately I couldn't make it down for the meet, I had family in town. I think we need to set a time a couple months in advance so people can schedule around the meet as opposed to a week or 2 notice. I think that's what killed the meet not the heat. I've had experience coordinating huge car...

    need towing expertise

Id really look at staying under 7k dry. With a 100gal Fresh water tank(pretty average for trailers under 26') you'll be adding 800 more lbs, plus you have to factor in all your gear/occupants. The tongue weight of 780 should be ok with a WD hitch. I towed my toy hauler at 6500 dry with a tongue...
