pretty much this. the dealership gets the money one way or another, so they really have no incentive to give you a discount for paying in cash. When I sold cars i had people offering to pay cash all the time. The only thing that made a difference was like someone else said, it shows you are...
Had the master cylinder go bad on mine. Thought at first it might have been the brake issues I had heard about the first time it happened. (Remember seeing somewhere people were saying they were a bit weak). Ended up getting worse real fast. the pedal would catch for a bit near the top and then...
Anyone ever notice a difference in "miles to empt" when filling with different gas?
I'm a cheap bastard so I always use regular (i think it's 87 here) but the other day I spoiled my truck and used mid grade. I fill to the click every time, and i get like 330-340 to empty. With the mid grade it...
correct me if i'm wrong but wouldn't a cam from ford racing keep the warranty intact? or is that just a crazy wish? i love the sound of the hot rod cams and i'm seriously considering pulling the trigger on it
ehhh i would not trust what they say on the phone.. there are one or two that are marked wrong. i knew a guy that (to his own stupidity) didnt slow roll it to be sure when going into a garage.. needless to say he needed a new windshield.
but for the most part your ok.. maybe some of the older...
so a few weeks back a friend of mine kept asking what kind of exhaust i had, my answer was stock. but i finally crawled under and took a peek.. no way the welds from the cats or another spot near the muffler are factory, so, obviously aome type of aftermarket (i bought my truck used)
anyway...
it's really not too bad, you get used to it. especially since here in vegas in never really gets that dark even if your farther out into the city (away from the strip)
but i do plan on getting a light bar above the windshield, and the bumper im looking at has the led lights.. and then there's...
i gotta go with keeping it dark as possible. i have it at 3% all the way around right now with a 3% strip along the top. I'm actually considering getting the whole front done real dark. maybe about 10%. something about not having everyone be able to see inside the car i like a whole lot. i get...
i know this thread is old, but i know there was a new-er article that came out with a lot of new stuff about saving gas
anything over 55, windows up, ac on
anything under, ac off windows down
smoother, faster acceleration helps because your truck gets to its lower gear quicker
not...
in all honesty im not REALLY worried about the door dings as i ususally park well away from anyone, IMO i just think the truck looks so much cleaner without those big ol things hangin off the sides.
Flagbonz yours is a prime example.. i'm not huge on the screw, but that thing looks sooo sick...
thinking about it now it does make sense, i just think it would look so much cleaner with the boards.
wouldn't the rock guards do the same though since they come away from the body by a few inches?
Thinking of taking them off for a few reasons.
is there any reason why i shouldn't?
is there any vendor that has a different style?
I've never really been a fan of the stock ones.
im in the realm of 900/6 months with farmers and i'm starting to do some looking around for something cheaper.
granted i am 18 and they tend to shit their pants when they hear that.
also mine is listed under f150 so i guess that may help,
Somewhere around 17k
MAIN CONCERNS:
trans hunts around for gears
hard downshifts when slowing down
leaf springs sweak when i had about.. 200lbs in the bed, never made a noise otherwise
FIX:
taking the truck in soon to have them check everything out
i actually had a battery die on me...
i can't get enough of it.
what i could go without is dusting it every time i even think about opening the garage and taking it out. Vegas has been so damn windy. it's gonna be getting a wash and wax today.
Is there anyone else on here from around this area?
