I have the firestone airbag kit for pulling my TT. You have to choose hydraulic bump stops or the air bags with this kit, because I believe they share some mounting locations on the frame. That being said, the bags are great to tow with, and then can be taken off with 3 bols per side when you...
Bottom Line Upfront: I want to compile all the information available about getting a 37" spare mounted under the bed in the stock location.
Modifications required seem to include: Turn-down exhaust, dovetail (type) rear bumper (specifically to remove the lower mounting points), and stock...
Great! Did you ask them to add the extra gusseting? Looking forward to hearing back from you on your thoughts once it is all installed and towing for you.

Fantastic! and Man, thats a lot of weight...
Has anyone towed using a weight distributing hitch with the SVC V3 rear bumper with the integrated hitch receiver?
I've installed one before (not on my personal truck) and realize that 2 of the 6 mounting points are chopped to gain clearance, but that also the V3 moves the hitch mounting...
really? wow, I wonder why!? Jimmy provided great customer service and as far as I can tell a great product. I've had my WSI springs for about a year and tow a travel trailer regularly, as well as a boat all summer long. no sagging that i'm aware of, although my HD springs never sat as high as...
Is the amount of suspension travel lost measurable? is it all up travel, or some down travel as well? can this be partially uninstalled easily, as in towing a travel trailer to a campground, then unhitch (and uninstall just the bag itself) and go play on the trails?
Great looking setup! Do you offroad the truck often or ever? How does the airbag setup fair offroad? (compared to how everyone says it will cause frame damage when used offroad?)
I have a similar setup: 4500 lb Travel Trailer with 500 lb tongue weight. This is all setup with an Andersen WD hitch. I started with mid perch and stock leafs. I now have upgraded to WSI HD springs which have helped some, but not as much as I want them too. I can level out the truck and...
Well the new springs are in, and I will say this: Those things are heavy! But, more to the point, Since I was on a lift and not limited to just jack stands, I loosened all the bolts for both sides at the same time. I removed and replaced one spring at a time that way the alignment of the axel...
That's what I figured. -And yeah, I am only going to lift the truck to the point just before the wheels come off the ground that way they are still supported.
So, having never replaced any leaf springs before, is this a job best done one side at a time or both? I'll be working on a lift, so would it be a problem to loosen everything, lift the truck, remove the bolts and springs, and reinstall on both side at the same time?
Good explanation; thanks!
I was more speaking to the masses of people who are on MID perch or equivalent height with 3.0's ect. No mater the choice of shocks, if your going to raise the ride height even a little bit (to an accepted - acceptable level), I still think it makes sense to make...
I may be way off here, and definitely could be, but is it possible to drop the front diff at all to help cv angles? I come from IFS rock crawling world, and while you have to be cognizant of how low you can go so that you don't affect front end clearance, this can effectively provide better cv...
well, as applicable, I'm looking forward to doing all three :) :
-Drive Truck near stock
-Ride in beastly upgraded trucks
-Make mine the compromise between mega upgraded beasts and what I choose to afford
Mega excited for the event. Did it get mentioned if camping onsite is truly available this year or not? Having never been, JRaptor11 told me that camping should be no problem and we plan on bringing the travel trailer to live in for the weekend. no hook ups is no problem for us.
Also - I...
