The glory of using FORScan is that you don't need to change any wiring. Depending on your model year, of course. The difference being the degree that the computer controlled.
With FORScan, the hyper-flash is programmed out for the front and back. Otherwise, you can purchase a specific harness...
Black SuperCrew pulling a covered trailer off of O'Malley or Huffman in Anchorage... they both run uphill and I was out for a cruise. Prybar? Haha.

It was good. They are currently on a holiday shutdown (through the 2nd, I think?). So there wasn't much action on the floor. Will try and go back and do the museum before we head back to Alaska.

I saw several with new plastic on them still. Haha. Even some incomplete ones!
Toured the Rouge Plant today. Haven't seen any of the '10-14 variety around here.

Looks like FORScan has been mentioned! I just used it today to disable the lamp outage notification for the front turn signals and now have LED bulbs installed there as well. Great program!
Well folks, I did finally have an opportunity to try LEDs on the front. It still created a hyper flash even after the reprogram. I am curious if it does the same on the Super Duties (which is what the reprogram is originally set for - for upfitters). I used both the regular LED bulbs and CanBus...
So far I have had no issues after doing the reprogram on the back. I had my DRLs deactivated a while back but have not tried to see if that fixed a hyperflash issue for the front as I'm still running the halogen bulbs.
A Milepost would be a good reference for those that are curious as to what would be available on the highway. It provides good references as to food and fuel locations and what will be open. We have a few of them on the shelf from other trips that family has taken. They put one out every year...
I was in the military (National Guard) as a medic. That's what brought me to AK and I worked at Ft. Greely for 3.5 years.
Edit: It was a red two place enclosed...
Sort of. I work for a large safety company as an Alaska EMT-III w/Expanded Scope & ACLS working on remote projects (Oilfield...
Black SuperCrew southbound @Girdwood Tesoro and again at the Turnagain Pullout. Pulling a snowmachine trailer. Prybar was this you? I was the white F150 running with the field trip. Wife is a teacher and asked me to chaperone...
Saw a black SuperCrew w/cap and DARK tinted windows 1/21 when I was going through Palmet, AK. Today, a black extended cab on Nistler road, outside of Delta Junction, AK.
