The SCT tune is custom for my truck. The 5star tunes are generic for all 6.2L trucks. When I bought this, I knew nothing about it. A little YouTube and Google goes a long way.

Connecting to a new truck didn't cost me anything. Just the custom 'Tune' for my truck. AFAIK the stock tunes should work for any 6.2L. They may or may not work well for your truck. They are fairly generic, results may vary. This is simply the device for putting those tunes onto your truck.

As far as I know, it should work on any f150 of the similar years. I would check their website to be sure. Note that the tune file is septate and custom to your vehicle. You'll need someone, SCT, 5*, etc to create you one specifically to your truck & set up.

I will point out that you can put the bulb in backwards. Then it will flicker. You then have to remove it and turn it around. Kind of a pain. Best to check before reassembly. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk

No it has more to do with the engine revving up and all of the sudden the throttle is gone. It's not really a backfire as much as it is air cavitations, I think. The manual down shift won't let you screw it up. I just hit the button as much as it'll let me when coming up to a light and let the...
