Great review, the pics never do the real views justice. Off to NV tomorrow for V-R, wish I was heading for Baja. No comparison of racing, chasing or spectating.
Throughly cleaned truck after 3 weeks in Cholla Bay, MX. No phone, tv, Internet, only the Sea of Cortez to watch for entertainment. Raptor rolled over 60k just as I cleared 60 years at JJ's. CBP broke latch on tonneau cover during return inspection, easier to get fixed than fill out claim.
Picked truck up from dealer after master cylinder & booster replaced. Warranty covered repairs. Dealer follow-up keeps asking how my f-150 is running. I reply I have a Raptor not a 150. Reps don't seem to understand the difference.
Hopped in, started and applied brake to shift from D. Pedal straight to the floor and noticed warning light. It could have been on first. The wierld part is not seeing signs of fresh fluid anywhere under the truck with a dry reservoir. Not any previous indicaters of problems. All fluids...
Ran errand on the other side of town. Experienced same issue as first post. Lucky it happened in a parking lot and not at speed or out of the country
100 degrees in the shade. Arraigned for tow to the dealer to have master cylinder and booster replaced. 2011 w/59k, have extended warranty...
That's all of the pics and stories after a Baja trip? What about the loose light bar, busted power steering pump, knifed hand, beer cans flying out, cows in the road and night driving. Participants seem to be holding back details.
Safe parking lot, you guys are killn' me. Pick a spot and stick to it. Would love to attend but many AZ Raptors will be in Ensenada eating raw food from street carts and drinking Tecates from unwashed glasses. Hope we have decent parking........
Ready, set, go. Weather is going to be fine. In SF hit the Mir Mar. At CoCo's leave a $ donation or Tecate and sign the journal. BLA swing by Guerromo's ask for Igor Galvan for anything you need. He's a Ford racer. SI has a great mission but that's it. Loreto also has Father Kino mission...
Cracks and stars are a way of life in AZ. Chip seal road surfacing, open load trucks and lots of open tread tires. Before the Raptor I had 3 new windshields on the f250 in 5 weeks due to BIG hits in the driver line of sight. Currently have 3+ stars that haven't taken off yet.
Repaired the loose fuel door that showed up last weekend. From the FRF I knew others had already experienced this and posted their repairs. Followed the instructions , had patience, no problem.
Had new cover installed. Will keep stuff out of sight in MX. Yeah I know, not bad guy proof. Should keep gear water resistant, not proof and don't mind dust/dirt.
Sorry about the sunny pic, 82* this afternoon.
