As a yonker, I used to see H0rny toads (Horned lizard) along with Sonoran desert toads a LOT in the Az desert. Sad to say, I cant remember the last time I saw a horned toad in the wild. Sonoran toads are a rare sight these days too, only out during the monsoon season when they are on the hunt...

Is this where the old Saddleback park Motocross track used to be? I went up there as a kid (many moons ago) to check it out with my parents. I think I was in 7th grade then and SOOO wish I had my old CZ there with me. That track and Carlsbad were the **** in the 60's & 70's So Cal dirt bike scene.

Great pics as always, John. Those Chollas are a nasty staple of the Az desert too. In my dirt bikin days, I used to keep a comb and needle nosed pliers with me just for those "close encounter of the worst kind" occasions. Lots of old abandoned mines here too. I can't imagine how hard a days work...

I gather these have the OEM halogen bulbs in them. The cost of upgrading bulbs from Recon is a bit steep. I wonder if they can be retrofitted with LED bulbs? Going to do some homework first. GLWS

Are these plug and play? Or do they use an external balast?
