I took it to the dealer, they did a diagnostic, came back failed 4 wheel drive solenoid. they replaced the solenoid and rattle is gone. $30 part, $170 for diagnostic and labor :( Wish I knew, I would have fixed it myself.

I have the exact same rattling when i let off the gas, it goes away. 5.4L @ 53K miles. I replaced one heat shield clamp that was cracked and loose where the exhaust pipe goes runs Left- right side, but it didn't fix the rattle. Did anyone find out the cause of the rattle?
