There's a lot of people running 37's without fenders. You can also run stock liners with Fiberwerx Fenders as I was. You don't need gears, depending on the 37 it will fit in the spare location or you could just strap it down in the bed, if you didn't already have a bed rack. Let's not forget you...
Stupid analogy. Most of us already had aftermarket wheels, I already had a bed rack. 6 tires cost me $2400, fenders + wrap cost me $600, trimming pinch welds cost me $100. Is it worth $3100 to me? Hell yes. It's not just about ground clearance.
Switching to something else. Paid $2600 for them, I think they've got around 10k miles on them. $2200 OBO. Located in Las Vegas and will ship at buyer's expense.
If the trucks can make it bone stock through the Baja 1000 the power line road to Vegas will be a piece of cake. Yes, a GPS and a radio would probably be a good idea.
So, I'm not exactly sure what to make of that video of the Stig driving the truck. Lap time starts at 19 seconds and ends at 1:39...So in theory that is a 1:20ish lap time in the rain.
